Lynchpin --Subtle… like a brick through a plate glass window.Lynchpin was born in Portage la Prairie, Mb. in a small, hot room overlooking a quiet, unsuspecting street that would never again be quite the same. Brought together by the common passion for music, Peter and Stacy continued to write, perform and share their music with the world. Step-by-step and show-by-show, thru sweat and blood their vision grew. They released the EP Volume 1 in 2000 and began their journey to gain the experience, both as musicians and performers, that would be needed further on down the road. With the addition of Travis in January 2001, pummelling bass in hand, they began to truly develop their own chemistry and sound. The Lynchpin EP was recorded and released later that year and they have continued to define their sound and take it to the people at great Winnipeg venues such as The Zoo, the Blue Agave, The Pyramid and the Collective Cabaret, with hometown Portage shows sprinkled in for good measure. The last year has been spent continually expanding their fan base through their intense live shows, while working on their most definitive and explosive recording to date, "New Ground" release in July, 2005. Engineered and Mixed by Mike Wagner at the Plaza Room and Mastered by Scott Pinder at Polyphonic Mastering Labs. With the recent addition of the bludgeoning Ben Silman (formerly of Muhib) on drums, Lynchpin is finally complete and poised to destroy.Explosive. Intense. Passionate.
