About Me

Abby Kondas, a talented acoustic folk rock artist was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. From an early age Kondas had music as a major influence in her life. During her elementary school years, Kondas took private piano lessons before beginning the flute in the 5th grade. In 8th grade her greatest influence and inspiration would come from her best friend, Erin Kane. Kondas would sing along side Kane, while Kane played the guitar. People soon began comparing them to the Indigo Girls. The following year Kondas picked up the guitar and began teaching herself chords while still playing the flute.Today, her influences include artists such as Damien Rice, Bob Dylan, and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. Kondas, who writes and creates her own music, hopes people will be able to relate her song lyrics to their own lives.- bio composed by Meghan Williams
