I'm a dedicated bookworm - I love books and can quite happily spend hours in Waterstones. I can not say I love reading enough! Like watching the footy (well Arsenal to be exact), going to the gym, seeing friends, shoes - does this count as an interest? I love going to gigs and festivals when I can, live music and a pint - it just couldn't get any better. Getting away as much as possible although haven't done nearly enough for my liking. I'll try anything once.
Like minded people with a taste for the eccentric.
I'm really not a fan of cheesy pop and the Scissor Sisters are driving me nuts. I like Rock, metal, indie, alternative and anything with a groove - I have been known to hit the dance floor on some occasions! Some bands I like are: QOTSA, Greenday, Bloc Party, Offspring, The Clash, Massive Attack, Portishead, NIN, The Killers, Goldfrapp, Machinehead, AFI, Moby, Pearl Jam, Oasis, RHCP, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Therapy?, Weezer, Spineshank, The Beatles, Crowded House, Kaiser Chiefs, Rolling Stones, Blur, Mansun, Air, Elliot Smith, The Kooks, Stone Roses, Razorlight, SOAD, Placebo, Morrisey..........I'm sure I'll think of some more.Anyone else loving The Klaxons at the mo?Trent
I'm not really into films, I'll watch pretty much anything apart from Horror although I did love Shaun of the Dead but I think that's more comedy than horror - oh dear I'm rambling. Call me a geek but I love all the Star Wars films, ok maybe not the phantom menace so much but you can't beat the original trilogy and James Bond films (Daniel Craig anyone?), Napoleon Dynamite and The Royal Tenenbaums. Girly offerings we have Grease 2 (cool rider and reproduction) and Pride & Prejudice, Vanity Fair etc. Love the Monty Python films too, I'd love a t-shirt of the Black Knight :-)
Books, books and more books. When I eventually have a place of mine own I'd like a library complete with a ladder on wheels so I can spin around the room until I suffer from motion sickness. That strange fancy aside I love reading and spend hours immersing myself in other worlds. I highly rate Alison Weirs books on history and am reading her books on the lives of the Tudor Monarchs, fact is indeed stranger than fiction which is why I enjoy reading history so much. I do also like fiction. Some of my favourite authors would be John Steinbeck, George Orwell, Dan Brown, Dean Kootz, Jane Austen, Tom Clancy, Terry Pratchett, George Elliott and Thomas Hardy. I urge anyone to read the Time Travellers wife, this book made me cry and also the Harry Potter books which I couldn't put down (book 7 due this summer). The Portrait of Dorian Grey is another one of my favourite reads.
