About Me

I wear many hats....MOM, student, WIFE, chauffeur, maid, geek, planner, organizer, chef, volunteer, sister, daughter, WOMAN, and hopefully one day, professor/author. I am neurotic, anal retentive, compulsive, and a tea-aholic. I love most foods, but the ones I don't love I find revolting...there IS no middle ground. My mind stays open, and I like it that way....no one is so perfect that they can eliminate whole classes of people for being different. My family is my life, everything I do, I do at least in part for them. Everything I do, I think of their needs/wants first. My passion is history. I can talk history for HOURS, my husband loves it AND it drives him nuts. I wholeheartedly believe the old saying that those fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it. I clean when I'm angry. I make lists for everything. I collect coins and old paper money because I like to fantasize about what someone who held that coin 100 years ago was thinking and doing. I scrapbook so I can relive those precious moments with my family I can never have again once the moment has passed. I expect more from myself than I do from anyone else, and if it wasn't for my husband, I'd constantly punish myself for falling short of my own demands. I forgive, I love, I laugh, I encourage, I console, I cry, I yell, I hug, I kiss, I support and I try like mad to grow old gracefully while I do it. I don't believe in plastic surgery, starving oneself or doing anything but LIVING while you can, trying to learn something every day, and trying to leave the world a better place than you found it.

My Interests

[Glitterfy.com - *Glitter Maker*]

I'd like to meet:

I would love to have the opportunity to meet the people I study....Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Truman, Alice Paul, Teddy Roosevelt, Ben Franklin. I fantasize about meeting people who are debated and getting the truth from them (i.e., so Thomas Jefferson, are Sally Heming's children REALLY all yours?).
