Art: Anything colorful and unique - Frida Kahlo, Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Vincent van Gogh, Steinler, Mark Ryden, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edouard Manet, Edgar Degas. Mostly Impressionists.Mostly 1880 - 1970 art but I do enjoy the rare 'modern' (of my time) artist. Absolutely adore Art Nouveau posters and lithograph artwork from the turn of the 20th century.I dabble with paints but am constantly learning and frustrated. The easiest medium for my artwork is drawing and computer illustration which I am trying to do more of. I try my hardest not to follow trends or fads but still find computer illustration compelling despite it's somewhat half-baked nature in the art world compared to 3 years ago.Illustration: Kirsten Ulve, Marcos Chin (LOVE his new stuff - much more depth and personality), Rick Sealock (an wise and hillarious past teacher),
Friendly, Interesting, Engaging, Passionate people who love to chat about anything and everything.
Hawksley Workman, Buck 65, Feist, Jason Collett, Sarah Harmer, Esthero and Fiona Apple are my favorites right now. Buck's new cd is amazing and Jason eerily channels Neil Young on Idols of Exile.
Medium (I can relate to the crazy psychic dreams), Dead like Me, America's Next Top Model (so entertaining), and Scrubs.Used to watch religiously: Buffy, Sex and the City (written so well it breaks my heart)
I absolutely cannot stop reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I'm on the fourth one now (Drums of Autumn) and I'm forcing myself to savour it...
