About Me

October 21st, 2006 marked Kenneith Perrin’s debut CD, "It Took So Long". This eclectic blend of inspirational pop/R&B masterpiece shines with singles like “Where Are You Tonight,” “All The Blessings Flow,” “Go On,” and the title track. The disc is the latest stop on Perrin’s long journey that began with a performance for his pet collie at age 4. His mother, Kathryn Perrin, overheard him singing “Skin Tight” by the former Ohio Players. Immediately, she discovered his extraordinary talent as he sang to the pooch. An early musical adventure for this Dayton/Ohio resident included a performance with the Rev. James Cleveland of Philadelphia at age 8. Six years later he became the youngest paid entertainer at the Miss Costal Empire Beauty Pageant in Savannah, Ga. His career soared after he joined the 4-H Club vocal music showcase group, Clovers & Company. Shortly thereafter, he played percussion for The Soft Tones jazz band with his father, Willie Joseph Perrin, Jr., and toured extensively with the Queens College Chamber Singers in Charlotte, N.C. When asked what inspires his tunes, Kenneith replies: “I write about whatever Jesus lays on my heart and mind. Inevitably, those expressions are sometimes characterized by my and others’ life experiences. I think life and how God works in it, creates a unique journey for all of us. The journey creates a song within itself.” The performer’s own journey took an interesting turn after college. Having attended law school, he studied entertainment law at the University of Tennessee. He felt it was important to be aware of legal issues that may arise as a music entrepreneur. He has been blessed to receive a Billboard Songwriting Contest Award for "Deep Dreams", which continues to receive airplay in Australia.Kenneith continues to share his passion for music anywhere his voice will be heard. This includes, but is not limited to birthday parties, churches, civic clubs, coffee houses, corporate functions and American Veterans lodges. Currently he is working on a new album. **All songs posted were written, arranged, produced by Kenneith Perrin (except "Deep Dreams"-Richie Turbush)I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
