Centimeter

Centimeter consists of Johan Landin, Henrik Holmlund, Lasse Forsberg, and Jeff Salomonsson. The Stockholm-based band took its current shape during 2004, when Henrik replaced former drummer Andreas Kleerup who left for new adventures. Johan, Jeff, and Lasse have played together since 2001, and released the EP - Nästan som på riktigt - in 2003.
Having initially experimented with heavy beats and ambient backtracks, Centimeter have progressed to rely on the most pure and essential sounds. After a period of intensive work and live gigs the bulk of the latter part of 2005 was used to complete material for a debut album. During the fall, a first single arrived, (Mellanrum) presenting a new sound that differed from the bands previous radio singles. The advantage with this newer sound, as the band pointed out, was the natural ability to recreate it live on stage and allow for further deviation as well as improvisation. During 2006 the album was finalised, and another single (Ta isär mig) was released in March. The debut album, also called - Mellanrum - was finally released on the 24th of May. On the 24th of August the single Precis som jag was released, and the bands very first video will accompany it shortly. The video was directed by Douglas Wahlberg and produced with the Swedish production company Camp David.
