MySpace Editor Rasheed Richmond I'M FROM BALTIMORE!!! Consider yourselves warned. I moved to down to Texas in July 2005 to be an editor for an independent publishing company. Since then, it's been road trips and rockabilly galore. I miss my friends and family every day. BELIEVE dat.

This is my bearded dragon, Denali! :D

My Interests

Goin to shows!! I need my fix of live music at least once a week. I'm up for anything from jazz to rockabilly, folk to punk. I do prefer punkabilly at the Darkside with a steady supply of Lone Star Beer! You can usually find me stumbling from bar to bar in Deep Ellum, or rockin out with the boys at Pete's Dueling Piano in Fort Worth. Other times I've been spotted doing the electric slide in my PJs by the light of my neon Neverending Story clock, going on wee-hour armadillo safaris, or sparking a late game of poker. Nintendo 64 is back, baby! I love me some Bond or Mario Kart with my Steve O. Driving is my ultimate therapy. I'm a hardcore highway junkie! I love to travel, and my job allows me to do that quite a bit. I do my best to be in town for the roller derby season. Go Hotties! And long live Skateland!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

I really do love all music. My friends make fun of me for the songs my iPod randomly spits out, but that only encourages my weird love for music even more. You can catch me listening to punk and rockabilly, or showtunes and 80s rock. There will always be a special place in my heart for 80s music!! Like a record, baby! These are some I listen to the most: Weezer, L.P., Screeching Weasel, Madonna, Mary Prankster, Sublime, Pistolero, Bobby Brown, The Frogs, Reverend Horton Heat, Reverend Organ Drum, The Flametrick Subs, Koffin Kats, The Wrecking Dead, Turbo 350, White Stripes, Stevie Wonder, Three Bad Jacks, Legendary Shack Shakers, The Platters, Beck, Sex Pistols, 7 Shot Screamers, Dismemberment Plan, Michael Jackson, Blur, Frank Zappa, Gogol Bordello, Cyndi Lauper, Big Daddy Alright, Counting Crows, Black Tie Dynasty, Wesley Willis, Salad Days, Fridge A, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Milli Vinilli, 311, Dark Water Transit, Radiohead, Fugees, Johnny Cash, and tons more!

Movies:

Clerks, Jaws, The Last Unicorn, The Life Aquatic, The Secret of Nimh, Repo Man, Big, The Breakfast Club, Fear and Loathing, The Dark Crystal, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, St. Elmo's Fire, The Station Agent, Dancer in the Dark, The Wizard, Flight of the Navigator, Tromeo and Juliet, Frida, Dumb and Dumber, The Great Rock'n Roll Swindle, The Neverending Story, Clockwork Orange, Mad Love, Boyz N the Hood, Labyrinth, Fritz the Cat, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Silence of the Lambs, Man of la Mancha, Friday After Next, Who's That Girl, Journey of Natty Gann, Trainspotting, Charlotte's Web, Ghostbusters, Much Ado About Nothing, Toy Porno, Dr. Strangelove, Easy Rider, The Sword in the Stone, Session 9, Showboat, The Sweetest Thing (where you at, Sara?!), The Princess Bride, Annie, Some Kind of Wonderful, Cry Baby, The Sound of Music, Willow, The Rescuers Down Under, Legend, Princess Mononoke, True Romance, Wild at Heart, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Robin Hood, What About Bob, Return to Oz, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, White Fang, and Your Mom.
Props to Matty Metro for these, and for the best movie-makin summer EVER! Jared=Superstar

Television:

I loathe regular TV. I mainly watch cartoons like Family Guy, Ren and Stimpy, Aquateen Hunger Force, and Home Movies. Steve and I love to dork out to How It's Made, an awesome series that takes you into factories and shows you how random things are created. Remember those segments on Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers that showed us how crayons were made?? Well this is the big-people version. Some cool shows are Reno 911, Kids in the Hall, The State, and In Living Color. Flight of the Conchords rox my sox!

Books:

I like reading autobiographies and philosophy. My favorite writers are Hunter S. Thompson, Maxine Hong Kingston, Simone de Beauvoir, Franz Kafka, William Shakespeare, Lord Byron, Samuel Beckett, and Friedrich Nietzsche. Since I started editing, my personal reading is on the decline, unfortunately. I expect it will be back in full swing soon enough. Some days each eyeball feels like Darryl Hannah's after Uma Thurman stepped on it.
