In all honesty I listen to just about everything. I am highly impressed with Maroon5, as they have definitely managed to pull a unique sound out of the blandness of today's "bubble gum pop." Having heard, and recognized, a theory that all music that will ever be created has already been done... I was impressed with the feeling that Maroon5 had managed to take things a step further. **** Recently I've heard a some new bands start making their way out that really seem to have some actual talent... as well as a few bands that have managed to return from the land of "what was the name of that band again?" As of late I've been kind of moderately tracking The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Greenday (brings back some old memories), Jet and Perfect Circle. I would love to see some great musical progress out of these bands. I'm also curious as to what is progressing in the underground scene, minus the bands I already know personally. If any one has suggestions, please drop me a message. Always curious about new and upcoming talent! **** Througout the years I have alternated hot and cold in regards to rap. It's probably been the only genre that I cannot find a steady affection for. Just when it seems like it's making progress, yet another silly song about shoes, bling, or sex comes out and I just tune out again. **** The greatest irony of all of my music tastes is that while I prefer to listen to really heavy rock (screamer bands included)... I actually prefer to sing blues. Never really understood where that came from - I don't particularly have a background in the genre... but emotionally and musically it matches me the best.
CSI, Will & Grace, Family Guy, LOST. I used to be really into 24 Hours, but then I went on tour for a year.. and haven't managed to catch up since. I'm really impressed with LOST so far... Even though I've missed the last 3 or 4 episodes. From what I had seen up until that point, they were doing a really good job of remaining vague about what was really going on... while still managing to keep you interested. I'm curious to see where they are headed with this show.
