CATCH ME IN MY UP COMING FILMS: REDRUM, UNIVERSAL REMOTE ****I still portray Toni Childs, the self-involved girlfriend who is struggling to keep her marriage together, in the comedy GIRLFRIENDS.
Born and raised in Dallas, I always knew I wanted to be an actress. After attending Duncanville High School and Texas Women's University, I modeled before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. It was there that I began to study with an acting coach.
GIRLFRIENDS marks my first series-regular role. My acting credits also include the Saturday morning series "City Guys" as well as the television film "American Dream," with Danny Glover and Wesley Snipes.
As a dancer, I was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for two years and a Dallas Mavericks Dancer for one year, and toured with USO and DOD (Department of Defense) tours to Korea, Japan, Israel and Egypt. I have also performed on "Monday Night Football" and in the Miss Texas Pageant.
Last year, I made history with my cast mates when we co-hosted the "2004 NAACP Image Awards," which was the first year a woman hosted the program. Don't forget to tune in to Girlfriends! Check your local listing.
