My Interests

I have almost completed my 3rd year of Design School, working on my degree in Interiors Design. I live and breath this stuff. Every since I could remember creating space has always interested me (just ask my friends and relatives). If you turned your back or leave me in your home I swear when you return you'll find something different in your room (I just can't help myself) color, textiles, lighting all these elements excite me.
In my spare time you..ll more than likely find me at the "Merchandise Mart", Flea Markets, Art Galleries, and Art Auctions. The field I'm most interested in is Residential & Hospitality.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet DR. MICHAEL ERIC DYSON - He's a critic, and a scholar "who happens to be a compelling spokesman for the concerns of the black community. You should check out some of his many books. This man simply tells it like it is!

I'd like to meet Dr. CORNELL WEST - Now talk about a man with a lot to say, I'd love to meet this professor, theologian, activist and prolific author.If I ever got the chance to meet him..... "I'd hook his afro up fo sho"!

And lastly, I'd love to meet TAVIS SMILEY - I think Tavis is probably one of the most important political voices of our generation. And he's so cool!

Oh! I wouldn't mind meeting JOE (solo r&b singer) now that brother could "sang" for me any day.

I think I'd like to see what DIANA ROSS is all about talk about a LADY & A DIVA!

Movies:

BABYBOY ( my all time favorite, I can't count how many times I've watched this movie).
SOUTH CENTRAL ( I loved Glenn Plummer in this movie, there was a part in the movie where he showed that he could really act, brought me to tears wheeeeew!).
VING RHAMES I love every movie he's ever played in.
DENZEL WASHINGTON Need I say anymore.......
I also love ole black & white classic movies that had black actors & actresses too.
SAMUEL L. JACKSON yup! every movie and I love to see what hairstyle he'll be rockin (some look damn good).

Girlfriends, Bernie Mac, America's Next Top Model, Making of the Band, Ron's House, Stepppin with Sam Chatman, The Flava of Love & HGTV I think I watch HGTV more than anything (any programming to do with interior design).

Books:

I love reading just about any book that empowers me, I also love curling up to reading a good autobiography. I AM SO WAITING FOR THIS BOOK, DUE OUT 10/10/06. FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD....THIS HAS GOT TO BE TAVIS'S BEST WORK YET AND I CAN HARDLY WAIT. SO IF YOU ARE A "TAVIS SMILEY" FAN THIS IS GOING TO BE A MUST READ I SEE BESTSELLERS LIST .....FO SHO!

Heroes:

My Mom is my HERO she is known to others as "Fancy" her birth name is Nancy. When I was growing up I always wanted to be just like my mom. She's a strong, very independent,loving, funny, full of wisdom and she's pretty too. You should see those big ole dimples when she flashes that smile. Yup! mom taught me how to play the cards that life deals you and just how to make it a winning hand she also taught me how to be a lady. I thank her for the unconditional love she's given me each and everyday. I Love You Mommy!
