I started working with Micah last October when I weighed in at 6'2" and 247 lbs. We set a reasonable goal of getting down to 220 lbs and decided to meet twice a week to achieve that mark. I hadn't work with free weights or weight machines previously, so he was patient and instructive, always noting why we worked each muscle group and why in that specific sequence. In fact, one of the things that made an immediate impression on me was that we rarely did the same exercises or movements within that first month as he noted that you never want to let your body get used to any specific routine or diet as that is what can create plateaus. I complimented our M and W workouts with a couple of days of cardio work (treadmill) to make sure I stayed in a routine and before I knew it I was out of my size 38 jeans and into 34's. Today I am at 218, a weight I haven't seen for 15+ yrs and even then I didn't have this upper body development or core strength!While a lot of people know how to be a personal trainer, I'm not sure it would be easy to find one more dependable or genuine with a sincere interest in helping you meet your goals. The fact that he is also a great guy just makes it that much easier to look forward to something others might dread or not enjoy. Getting or staying in shape is never easy, Micah makes it about as painless as I think is humanly possible. You want results and a overall lifestyle change then Micah is your guyTaylor , Kansas City, 25Before I met with Hitch I was training with other trainers that did not seem to understand my ability nor my will to build my body frame. Hitch on the other hand understood immediately of the positions, weight gain or loss, and diet to help achieve my goals. I recently had a knee injury and had to get surgery, which has put me out for over 2 months now. I am a very active person and not being able to get around normally became very depressing. I contacted Hitch in hopes to regain mobility quicker and get back to the old me. Even though on myspace he can look a bit intimidating I assure you that when you meet him all that gets overlooked. My first workout with Hitch was very exciting. I actually had instant gratification to the body that I never felt when working out with my previous trainers. Hitch has an extraordinary personality; extremely humble, very knowledgeable and has a great since of humor. Although the workouts are hard he tried to make it as painless as possible by making it fun and showing the benefits of his training style. I felt very comfortable with his advice and training. In time I am sure I will have a great outcome. Lastly, to all the curious people, Hitch gets an A+.
