About Me

I've lived in many places. I moved back to Bellingham almost 2 years ago from Spokane WA, where I lived for the last 9 months or so. Before that I lived in Bellingham WA for a year. Before that I was in the North County San Diego area for 4 years. Before that I had a 9 month stint in Canoga Park (San Fernando Valley, north of L.A.). Before that is the town I was raised in, Tehachapi CA. While living there I lived in two other areas for less then a year; Arlington Texas for 6 months and South Korea for almost 3 years of my life (off and on).
I'm basically a computer, Sci-fi, Lego, gamer, photography, movie collecting, film making(working on it), tech loving geek and proud of it. I have a huge DVD collection that I've spent WAY too much money on, as well as a large CD collection that has amassed through the years.
I'm currently out of shape, and I know it.. comes from spending all day on computers (mostly at work, but also much of my time at home). The job I now have has kept me on my feet and always moving, so I hope to start loosing weight. Plus I have some friends who I'm consorting with to go hiking with when it starts to warm up. I'd love to go camping as well (too many years have gone by since I last did that), and in general get more active.
My future goals are to make movies that make people think. You know, the ones you leave the theater thinking about things because you *GASP* actually had to use your brain. Good examples would be Vanilla Sky, Eternal Sunshine for the spotless mind, etc.... Doesn't mean there won't be action/violence, etc. I love those kinds of movies to. You know, like the John Woo inspired movies where the character walks into a room in slow-mo, then proceeds to tear the place apart with his dual 9mms. But I don't want that to become the main focal point. Give me a movie with art and action. I also would love to be the one to finally make C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy into movies... Or many of the other Sci-Fi books I used to read when I was a teenager.
As far as personality goes, I'm not sure what to say. I'm a fairly reasonable guy who's learning patience every day. That doesn't mean I don't get frustrated. All you have to do is take a drive with me as I get mad at stupid drivers. I try and get over it quickly though. I've learned in the past that when dealing with stress, it doesn't help to fret or freak out about it. helps that I have an awesome God covering my back, and that any trials I go through, I know he's got my back.
Oh and one thing:
They will never fit me in a nutshell.
First off I wouldn't fit. And even if I did, who would have had the urge to get me into one?
I've been through alot, but when I look at my past I know I've had it pretty good, even with the bad stuff. I'm not perfect, and I know it. When I start to judge others I always try and step back with that perspective in mind. Then I work on getting over it.
Politically I'm on the conservative side, though almost closer to the middle. If you ever want to know my perspective on things (like anyone really cares), just ask.
