I'm a huge fan of Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Harlan Ellison, Ray Bradbury and a thousand other authors I grew up reading. There are so many books to list, and all I can do to express my love of reading is that bit of a nostalgic expectancy as I walk into a book store, running my fingers over the spines of books I've read and have yet to read. Libraries are holy places filled with reverent silence. Used book stores and used books bring a quiet smile to my face and I must admit to loving the smell of old books.As for movies, I love watching just about anything. I'd really love a local movie buddy I can just hang out with every now and again and see a flick with. Follow it with coffee at starbucks, or a slowly sipped drink at a quiet bar with casual banter and I'm in my happy place.Muscially, I'm a bit of a philistine in that I actually like ... love ... 80's music. Add in a touch of classic rock, and a bit of some of the less annoying stuff that todays musicians are putting out and I'm OK. I tend towards songs with a touch of heart and intelligence in the lyrics and sans centering on how hard you can chew on a set of guitar strings.
