Each On Set has been fuelled by fire since the cold winter nights of December 2000. The band’s main musical influences are Green Day, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Hot Water Music, U2 and Billy Talent.
Let’s tell a short story about a band that has a bit of a history: E.O.S. won the New Horizon Records’ Contest in October 2001. The contest gathered 40 bands around Quebec province. Following this achievement, the band performed its first tour around the province at the beginning of 2002 with local headbangers such as Oversight, GFK, The Millennium Project and others. Animated by the conviction that they had something strong enough to put the band's name on every lips in Quebec city, and pushed by the awesome reaction of their crowd, which grown each time they've played, Each On Set recorded their first release in January and February 2002. Five songs which appear on a split CD under the Canadian label New Horizon Records with 3 other bands: Circle (Belgium), Free Living Insanity (Germany) and Lifestyles (Montreal). They’ve also work on a 3 songs E.P. in 2003 that was intended to be a pre-release of their first full-length album "Living for Artificial Fun", released in September 2004 by New Horizon Records. This ten-piece record is a well balanced mix of raw energy and catchy riffs on which each and every song could easily roll over again and again in your head. Two video clips followed this album: they first recorded one for "Getting Out", and then for "Deep" a few months later. Both two of them were, at different times, in rotation at Musique Plus and Much Music.
So far, the band did many tours through Quebec and Ontario provinces. They’ve played with many well known punk rock and hardcore bands such as No Use For A Name, Silverstein, Bigwig, Belvedere, Craig's Brother, Downway, Taken, Jersey, Ten Foot Pole, Season on Fire and many more. In 2004, they've realised the dream of almost every punk-rock bands as they were chosen to be a part of the Vans Warped Tour in Quebec City. Since then, the band didn’t stop to gain the attention of new fans at every single shows in which they had the chance to play by giving an unforgettable performance full of energy and passion.
Since December 2006, Sebastien Giard came aboard as the new bass player with is own blend of motivation, determination and passion, which was exactly what the band was looking for to take over 2007 and beyond!
More than two years after “Living for Artificial Funâ€, you’ll be glad to hear that Each On Set are now hardly working on what will be their second album called “Take It All in Perspectiveâ€. More details will be posted soon... Get ready it’s going to be a blast!
