About Me

We are on YouTube. We meant to speed up and play out of time, it's just what we do. Here it is: The Shoes - Long Hair
We made it onto YouTube again. Featuring the boys from Le Shlonk, Ben from The Heist, Josh from Phonic Soup, MJ and others. Here it is: The Shoes - It Won't Be Too Long
For the third time in Shoe history someone has put us up on YouTube. Dave played drums in this one cos Cam couldn't make it so we ended with a guitar solo instead of harmonica. The Shoes - Spacemen Part II
The Shoes are a four-piece rock 'n' roll band from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. They are Dave Brundell on guitar and vocals, Joe Navarria on guitar and vocals, with special permanent guests Will 'the party animal' Parker on bass and Cam Robot on drums.
The Shoes play some original material ranging from rock 'n' roll to blues to surf and throw in covers every now and then. Most people say they have a vintage vibe. Others say they are a surf band. No one really knows.
Beginning in April 2004, The Shoes had folky Seb Cunningham on guitar and vocals but he left the country to pursue a solo career. No one has heard from him since. Someone has been impersonating him in a band called The Weathermen. Apparently he is doing a brilliant job.
The Shoes discovered the talents of Will Parker one day in a Mexican cantina as he was jamming along to Spanish Flea on a Rickenbacker. It was a one man band. Cam Robot joined the band in January 07 after meeting Joe in rehab, whilst trying to kick a drug addiction. It's been kicked.
