About Me

I currently play bass for Shawn Johnson & The Foundation . I owned and operated Dream Catcher Recording Studio in Mesa, AZ from 1995 to 2005 and worked with a bunch of excellent bands and artists including bit-o-jane, gin blossoms, lynch mob, blessedbethyname, casper/602/philly blunt, oto/coppe, reign kings, corrupt citizen, lawrence grigg, s.o.d./twin dragonz et al. My main instrument is really guitar. SJF is the first band I've ever been in where I'm not the guitarist and guess what... I LOVE playing bass! I also play keyboards and mandolin and sometimes pretend that I can play drums... o yeah, it was Jesse from blessedbethyname that dubbed me 'The Ear'. I record audio on a Macintosh Quad G5 with MOTU Digital Performer. I've been a machead for a long time. My first mac was an 8MHz SE with the little 9" B&W screen. It was fully expanded with 4 megs of RAM and had the optional 30 MB internal hard drive. When I get going, I have inexhaustible energy. I have fun. Im a new-gen hedonist. enJOYment is where it's at. I smile all the time. I choose to be happy. If Im not happy about something, I change it. I'm one of the most non-violent people you'll ever meet. The only time I ever picked a fight as an adult happened when I witnessed a guy key my car and I came unglued and tackled the guy immediately. The fact that I had a few long island iced teas in me probably helped fuel the fire... good thing I was surrounded by a bunch of good friends. I love hiking uphill as fast as I can. I tear up the Echo Canyon trail of Camelback mountain at least a couple times a week. I feed my body with good exercise and nutrition and my subconscious with positive vibes and knowledge. I think everyone should read"A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. We have so much to understand.
