Down here, most cats’ parents are millionaires - my life was different. As a kid I used to draw all day long while in school. By the time I reached high school, shit ain’t change. I was pumping plenty selling all kinds of products to rich kids spending their parents’ money. I started noticing that guys like SIKE & FLOW had the streets covered crazy. By the time I started sneaking out at night with loads of paint, SAKE (the all time all around bombing king)-COST-SAIKO-the kids from VC- had destroyed the city streets. JKR had the walls iceburgin’. Their shit was always solid, clean and always stylin’. The older cats -KOPS- were runnin’ cellblock, Montreal's writers bench in the 90's. Then came in the cats from the west part of town. STAR-BEAM & CASE. Case was the cat with crazy clean throwies, that sick tag with the circle around it and wildstyles that made city pieces seem like garbage. By the time Spray hit the west, he quickly changed it up to BACER. Case noticed Bacer on the streets and quickly put him on SVC-Shadows of a Visible Crew. Bacer was the kid back home who put me on & showed me the ropes so without a doubt, SVC was coming to the south. From that day on, I was putting up mad in my part of town. Throwies and tags all around. (Before the Bank days). Just a kid on the street who had local police hoping they catch this kid in the act. Never happened (Nailing All Fakes) When the year of 99 hit, SVC had Montreal's top bombing revolutionist, Bacer & Case. From rollers to overnight subway missions to blockbusting rooftops, these guys really did it all. They paved the way for Montreal, as far as Bombing was concerned. By the time the new millenium hit, everybody moved on with different projects. The city was still getting hit, but the cops had the city on lockdown. LOES & DAMO had the street levels and the subways covered crazy, SAKE was alllllllllll around and NME made bombing productions seem like legal walls. Cats were getting pinched left and right just trying to get ''that spot". In no time at all, the city was almost clean as a whistle. Today, the city still shines with paint around some part of town. Guys like SAKE & SCAN will always keep this city bombed, SVC stays up thanks to NESAR & SOME but if you ask any one who was around in the Graff scene in those days, they'll tell you, those were the days Montreal was at it's peak-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------- The scene taught me a lot about style, keeping it my own, color mixtures, detailing, shading, keeping it extra clean and to always explore new terrains in witch you gain knowledge. I seriously believe that some of the best artist out there were graff writers in their time.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- SHADOWS INC-SHOES BEFORE RENT- is a registered corporation.
