Myspace Layout Stealer Pimp Myspace Pimp Myspace Ex Hip Hop DJ, Radio Presenter, Record Producer, Label Boss & A&R for 852, Dis-funktional, Nocturnal Recordings, 7MPS,Smokin Rhythms, Club Kids plus some others along the way. In 1993 I set up Seven Music Promotions - an Artist Management company starting out by representing the now legendary Rhythm Masters who's ultimate remix of Todd Terry 'Jumpin' became an instant club anthem and later became a huge international hit record. This set the ball rolling for one of the most successful remix and production teams of their time - in fact, rated no.1 by Music Week in 1997 having scored the most number of hit records during the previous year. The Rhythm Masters story is long with many twists along the way of which I'll spare you the details. As time progressed I went on to manage Johan S, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shaft, Skewiff, Triple A, Kayestone, George Morel, Subliminal (Harry Romero, Jorge (Who da funk), Jose Nunez), to name but a very few. Later I set up a DJ Agency which represented alongside the artists managed as producers, DJ's which included Keith Litman, Klubbheads who were riding high in the charts with 'Klubb hopping' and Andry Nalin of Nalin & Kane whose massive 'Beachball' remains a classic.
After a rollercoaster ride consisting of literally hundreds of club smashes and hit records and breaking huge international acts such as Shaft, selling millions of singles - I decided to move to Singapore for a change of lifestyle and pace. I set up a new company called Connect International Agency (CIA) and continued booking dj's to perform in SE Asia and parts of Europe including Basement Jaxx, CJ Mackintosh, Kenny Dope, Blaze, Barbara Tucker...
Having filled my boots with the delights Singapore has to offer I'm back in the UK... Manchester to be exact. It's a fantastic city which is probably one of the UK's best kept secrets of recent times. My current project is 852 Recordings & 852 Publishing - A new label set up with my good friend Ricky Stone - check out the blog for more info and check out http://www.myspace.com/852records. The focus of the label is House/Electro/Tech House etc with a view to developing artists/producers/dj's.
I'm into all things creative - art, production, media etc and always looking for ways to combine all the things I love into what I do for work.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention - along the way somewhere I found the time to work on the no.1 rated TV programe 'Airline' (ITV) as 'Project Manager'. It was an amazing experience, good fun although incredibly long hours and much time spent in hotels and flying around Europe - its a hard life :) - but being a workaholic, this suited me just fine! The programme at the time had the highest audience figures of any 'docu soap' style programme and had more viewers than 'friends' in the same time slot on a different chanel!. Something to do with us humans taking pleasure in watching people miss their flights and having a good old rant about it!
Well, that's enough about me on here... apologies for the huge messy list of records I've worked on. One day I'll get around to formating them and the rest of this myspace nicely.NB - I'm not exclusively into "dance" music - feel free to hit me up with any other types of projects and ideas.
