About Me

COLOUR-BLIND:
I can see blue, and I can see yellow... red sometimes looks like brown or green depending on shade and lighting... some shades of green look blue and quite a few shades of purple look more like blue to me... grass looks orange, if a shade of green is sort of blue green it may look blue, blue-green, or grey, there are two specific colors on the sample sheet of paints at the "Michael's" arts and crafts store that I can almost not see at all, in other words, they look almost exactly grey, one is a light magenta and it looks like a light neutral grey, the other is a sort of medium/dark teal that looks like a medium/dark neutral grey... there have been points in my life where I turned to the person next to me and said "is this pink?" and the response was "no, that's grey." also sometimes grey is mistaken for bluish-green... lighter shades of green, or anything that could be "green-yellow" usually just looks yellow, but if you told me it was green I might then see that it was green but never would I make that evaluation on my own, and I might later forget.
but if something is blue, I see blue... I might guess that navy is purple, because there are popular shades of purple that look like navy, but I see blue... I do see red, most of the time, but it's easy to make it not red.
sometimes I'm uncertain as to whether a light pink is baby blue or not.
grass is orange: it took me twenty years of my life to realize that I see grass as orange, everyone knows grass is green so I never even had to think about it, just one day I looked at it and realized that what I was seeing was orange. and then dried grass looks more grey than green, and it's arguable whether it looks more green than orange or not.
I hate brown because it makes my blood look like shit sometimes.
in most instances a comparison between what I'm confused about with something I'm not confused about or something with it's colour labelled will fix my confusion or teach me more about what the hell the flaws in my eyes are.
this has been an incomplete guide to my colourblindness.
