About Me

Before I start talking about myself, I want to say thanks to everyone who has visited my page, added me as a friend, and definitely thanks for all of the positive comments and inspirational words. I am on a mission. I am about to take as many people as I can on this mission with me. For me, music is personal and real and I want to share it with the world. My mission is to show the world that hard work, talent and perserverance are really the only things we need to succeed. So I am about to put out an album. I am going to put it all on the line too. No holdin back. I, like a lot of people have been hurt, so I can write about pain. I have loved, so I can write about love. I have cried, so I can write about tears. I have lost, so i can write about losing. But I don't want this journey to just be about me. I want this to be about US. So get ready to join me on a long ride and I promise you I will give you everything that I got. There will be a lot of surprises on the way, so make sure you stay on the train. By the way, I have written over 2,000 songs, so make sure you bring some food along for the ride. . A little more about my music. A lot of people love the wedding song and I appreciate it. Let me explain how that song was created. I used to be in a singing group called No Limit with Tim Gunter, Ricky Galloway and Tarrance Hood. I actually grew up with these guys and we became brothers. We worked really hard, opened for a lot of signed artists and travelled all around the US performing and doing promotions. Although we had the songs and the talent, things did not work out. But we stayed close to each other. Anyway, one of the guys in the group, Ricky, was getting married and he asked me to sing at the wedding. I asked him what he wanted me to sing and he told me to write him a song. I never wrote this song. I went in the studio, hit record and in one take, we had The Wedding Song. I think this song is so powerful because it is a gift to a friend. I have sang this song at so many weddings and it has made so many brides cry. I love it when a song brings out the emotion in someone. Nothing feels better than someone appreciating your music. I Received a very powerful email about the song STATISTIC. I want get into details to protect the person's privacy, but she told me the song really meant something to her and she could relate it to her situation. I write songs based on my own expeiences and the experiences of others who are close to me. So let me talk about Statistic. I had a friend who came to me and told me she was in love with some Busta who decided to hit her when she did not follow his command. She has three kids and told me she was afraid her husband was going to hurt them too. And she said she was afraid to leave because they had been together for a very long time. Sometimes it is hard to see the light when you are in love. But love does not hit or hurt all the time. Love supports, love nourishes, love cherishes....And most of all, Love respects...So ask yourself are you really being respected? If not Fellas, Ladies, Don't become another statistic. Cherish those who cherish you. respect those who respect you...love those who love you...and let go of those who HURT YOU!! THAT'S WHAT STATISTIC IS ABOUT.
