About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

I first caught the DJ/ raving bug whilst helping a friends brother at a party in November 1990 aged 13.
Within three months I started experimenting with two stereos learning the basics of cueing & bringing in mixes, progressing up to Soundlabs at fifteen & finally Technics by the age of seventeen.
Ive been involved with a lot of radio shows starting on Pressure FM, Christmas day 1994 & Weekend Rush on Boxing day 1994. Following on with Kick, Future, Eruption, Raw, Rinse & Ruud Awakening. Guest spots include Origin FM & Drum & Bass Worldwide .com.
My first club playout was for Club Arruba @ Stop Outs (RIP) in Ilford Essex in November 1993.
Since then I have played for many promoters including Hoo Ha @ Bagleys, Heat @ Hastings Pier, Pure Science @ Atomics, Movement @ Bar Rumba & Telepathy @ Club EQ.
I joined Future thinking in 1998 just after they ended their run at The Dragon and have since played at FT nights such as Futurism & Traffic. The involvment has also had me playing venues like the Ministry of Sound & the Rhythm Factory (of course).
Not one to be accused of following everyone else for what to sellect I am more prone to taking a step back from the scene & not getting caught up in the showbiz feel that it can sometimes entertain & just do what I enjoy which is purely to entertain the crowd of people who pay my wages (in other words turn up early & join the dance floor!).
I feel that thanks to nights and promoters with a love of Drum & Bass in it's entirety that the scene has improved no end with more interesting line ups and chances for producers being able to experiment without the worry of exclusion because they don't fit the "profile". This can be the only way forward and needs support & encoragement just like any up & coming artists & Dj's.
As a rule I NEVER pre-plan any sets and sellect tracks on the mood of the club which can result in some interesting results. This is something I feel very strongly about and do sometimes recieve critisim about sets but as long as it's constructive it's all good.
