"Ms. Viki" DeJesus passed away in her sleep at home on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the age of 22 years. To know Viki was to love her. She was ever energetic, bouncy, bold, compassionate, loving, humorous, and always a lady. She attended public school in Cumberland County and graduated from Seventy-First Senior High School. She was active in each school's Orchestra and Color Guard Flag Team with the Seventy-First Marching Band. She also participated and was a finalist in the Miss Seventy-First High School Pageant. Viki was employed at Olive Garden, Limited Too and Living Waters Adolescent Home for Girls. She was a senior at Fayetteville State University, where she was majoring in Psychology. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ramos DeJesus and paternal grandparents, Antonio and Josephine DeJesus. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ruby DeJesus; brother, Robert Antonio DeJesus, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Helen Clark of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of uncles, aunts and other relatives. She will also be missed by her special friend SSG Antone D. Harrell. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 12 noon at Covenant Love Church. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, Fayetteville, NC.
