About Me

True skoolizm and wisdom. I present to you, the OLDER GAWD. I was born in the Bronx on June 14th during the Summer of Sam, a citywide blackout, the rise of punk rock and metal, the zenith of disco, Studio 54, and the developmental era of everyone's now favorite "pop" culture; Hip Hop. I grew up as a child of the 80's in a mongrel setting surrounded by B-Boys, top to bottom whole car burners, truck jewels, skin fades, half moons, fly Cazals, GT and BMX Bikes, metal heads, Aqua-Netted bangin' guidettes and mommies, Freestyle, Mayor Ed Koch then Dinkins, the Central Park Jogger case, Adam Abdul-Hakeem (Larry Davis/R.I.P.), Yusef Hawkins, Tawanna Brawley, 8 Ball Jackets, LA Gear mid cut hiking boots, Bart Simpson air brushed overalls, Keith Hernandez, Lawrence Taylor, Dwight Gooden, and Darryl Strawberry serving as my blow riddled heroes, one street of residential living, the next street immersed in poverty, old skool red/blue/blacktop, tall boys of Ol' Gold, heron (Tango & Cash), guns, hate, rooftop sex, public assistance, broken glass everywhere, buddah clouded staircases, pissy elevators, abandoned homes/buildings, panama red, El Productos (L's), Manor and Watson, illiteracy, stick up kids, and handball. All this worked strongly in my favor cause it was all about being "well rounded" in my household. Whether that's a good or bad thing has yet to be determined. However, I'll say this, I did my thing in school. Factor in being a light skin, educated, street wise Puerto Rock; I'm one of the illest people you will ever encounter for the fact that I can walk through any 'hood unscathed and the next morning rub elbows with rich white on the 48th Floor of a prominent midtown Manhattan building overlooking Central Park. I also want to add that the Bronx has come a long way during my time on this planet, and I am truly blessed, proud, honored and lucky to have remained alive to be apart of its many transitions and to have experienced the beneficial life lessons it has bestowed on me.
I would say my present day personality began forming back in '89/'90. That's when I started rollin' wit' my crew, who I hang wit' to this day, bombin' subway stations, street and highway bombing, motion taggin', rackin', 40 drinkin', skama toking, and takin' out toys mad easily. Besides goin' to school, chillin', and being dipped, I was always down wit' music. I started playing the drums in '83 and rocked my Dad's vinyl crazy. By junior high I was killin' it on the drums and was heavy into rap, rock, some metal, some pop, and of course, new jack swing. I started throwin' down in a band wit' a couple of my closest friends, and ever since we've been gettin' busy on a full scale production tip. I'm up, you've heard that numerous times coming from zero talented, non-musician, swear they nice clown goof-offs. But all you have to do is go ask your man around the way tryin' to get on, and peep the resounding respect and props over here.
Besides music, I love to lamp with my circle, my fam, travel to various hot spots in the US and occasionally outside of the country, look fresh, eat well, train, drive luxury wips, hold down my rest, spit game, make paper, and conceptualize means of making more paper in order to ensure long term happiness.
