Lots to put here. Riding my Harley, playing with my dogs, skeet and sporting clays, working on and driving my Triumph, running in dog jogs, trying new resturants, day trips, fishing, hiking, going for bike rides (pedal), watching and playing rugby, SCUBA diving, watching the sun come up on Pikes Peak, a good single malt, good wines and micro-brews. There's more, but this is good enough for now.
The right person for me. Someone who can hold an intelligent conversation and actually knows what is going on in the world. It seems the "Nice guys finish last" theory has a fair amount of truth to it and I keep hearing it from friends. Do looks help? Of course, but what good are looks if you can't put a complete thought together? I'm of the opinion that everyone is looking for someone (until they find them), some are just in denial. Doesn't everyone want to meet the right person for them?
I like jazz (The Rippingtons and Fourplay), New Age (Arkenstone and O'Hearn), Jimmy Buffett, and Rock (Stevie Nicks to Rob Zombie to Rammstien to Nickleback to Steely Dan) and yes, classical. Last but definately not least, Carmina Burana, which happens to be in my cd player in my truck.
I like a good comedy. Scary movies are generally not scary. I can't get past the fact that it is just a movie. Why does the girl scream while running through the woods? If you are going camping where they keep finding bodies, bring a .45 for gods sake! I find scary movies more humorous than anything. There are only a couple things that scare me and they are not movies. What are they? Well, we would have to get to know each other pretty well before I will tell. I do like the old Frakenstein, Dracula and Abbott and Costello meet.... movies. Bela Lugosi movies are classics. I really like satires. Scary Movie 1-3, Airplane, Blazing Saddles, Loaded Weapon, etc. Action and sci-fi movies, too (hey, I am a guy). I saw "The Lives of Others" last night, it rates in the 10 best I have seen.
The Simpsons, Futurama, The Tick, South Park, House, most shows on OLN, MNF, hockey if the Red Wings are playing. Soap was, and still is, one of my favorites. There are others but truth be told, I really don't watch much tv.
Atlas Shrugged, Silent Spring, Still Life with Woodpecker (and most other books by Tom Robbins), The Neighborhood, Calvin and Hobbs, various chemistry and physics books. There are lots more....I wish I had more time to read. Update, right now I am reading about the influenza outbreak of 1918. If people only knew....
I don't want to list anyone for fear of forgetting someone and insulting them. On the other hand, I really don't have many and some may be insulted that they are not on the short list. I will however list my dog Chase. He was the greatest dog and never grew out of the puppy stage, even at over 12y/o. My dad is also like that so I have to list him (plus he is my dad). At 67, most 30 y/o's would have a hard time keeping up with him. I will say that I have no respect for anyone who would put ANYTHING before family.
