Female Singer / Performer / Rattlin' Things / Producer / Talent Manager / SongwriterShelby Lane’s destiny seemed predetermined by her family’s multi-generational professional musical distinction yet she still would strive for more than just musical success. Music became a huge part of her life from the very beginning. She would sit in her father’s guitar case singing and playing the pitch pipe as a toddler. By age 2 she was already taking dance lessons, singing in musicals and singing with her father’s band shortly there after. She was a published artist and author by age 5, which is no surprise as her great great grandfather was renowned essayist, Ralph Waldo Emerson. Shelby studied gymnastics for several years, and became involved in martial arts by age 12 where she was eventually named a Regional, National, Junior Olympic, World Cup and Goodwill Games Champion! She traveled the world competing in martial arts for several years. With her martial arts discipline behind her by age 16, she was accepted into a unique program which allowed her to attend college before she graduated high school. During her first 2 years of college she was the youngest artist to have 5 pieces exhibited at the student art show. She was only 16. Performing in bands and singing groups all throughout her childhood and teens, at age 18 she moved to Las Vegas to see what it had to offer. Once she arrived she began singing in the lounges immediately and did backup vocal work for Barry Manilow. Shelby then moved to Los Angeles where her original music has been heard on some of the hottest stations in Southern California. While living in Los Angeles she performed with several corporate bands before forming BandShe in 2004. Shelby and BandShe have since relocated to Las Vegas where they now perform nightly on the Las Vegas strip.
