About Me

So.......I am here in Maui trying to live life. I miss the mountains and my family more than I can even explain. My family is the most important thing to me. I am very down to earth, strong, independent and I speak my mind which can sometimes get me in trouble. I love any chance I can take a nice long nap and 3:30 a.m. is my favorite time of the day. I like having music playing in my ears with a good book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. I was a dancer for 20 years and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about it and how much I miss it. It was the only thing I have ever had passion for in my life. I am very quite when people first meet me. It may come off as being a bitch but I'm actually just observing everything around me keeping it all at arms length. I am very happy with the people in my life right now and for the first time I feel at peace with it all. I would love to travel and see the world but for now I'm stuck here just hangin out on da beach! Be happy & Peace. Jodi Lynn..

What I love: my family, music, dance, books, photography, nature, conservation and preservation, good brew, good bud, great friends, winnie the pooh, 1960's generation, john cusack, jam bands, tattoos, mountains, rainstorms, walking barefoot anywhere, butterflies, buddhism, folk music, environmental education, sleeping, writing, good strong black coffee, pepsi, movies, camping, green amber, hippie boys in long skirts, a nice Easy Street Wheat with lemon, dark chocolate, laughing, Everything bagels (only if I've baked them), and of course my most favorite thing I own......my Chaco sandals

My grandparents that passed away before I was born, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, The Beatles, JFK, John Cusack, Conan O'Brien, Jimi Hendrix, John Butler, Ben Harper, and Jerry.

Movies:

I love, love, love movies. I have a pretty good collection however its nothing compaired to my brother's collection but I'm working on it. Love the girly movies, dumb ass comedies, musicals, old black and white flicks, and of course the classics that never get old.

Television:

I don't have cable but when I did I liked to watch Gilmore Girls, Friends, Little People Big World, The Office, ER, My Name is Earl and Jericho. I have to admit I don't miss having cable. Life is really nice without it.

Books:

Any book that inspires me or encourages me to keep dreaming is a great book. Just read House of Leaves and I just can't stop thinking about it. Great book!

Heroes:

My grandparents, Carrie, Albert, and Misao, the three people in this world who have made me the strong person I am and taught me how important family is. My parents, two of the most crazy and amazing people to have guided me in this life. My brother, the funniest person I know. He is my rock, my best friend, my everything. I wouldn't have survived in this life, this long without him by my side. He keeps me sane and brings happiness into my life always.
