OBITUARY
After about 3 years of making music together the boys from Travolta Sings have decided to call it quits. It was fun for when it lasted but everyone from the band have started to go their own seperate ways. Thanks to everyone who liked our music, came to our shows, bought our cd's and supported us! You guys made it all worthwhile. Also thanks to all the bands that we have played with in the past and to everyone who has booked us! A special thanks goes out to the Poulsens, Poulsen himself, Franky, Joel, Sick Sick Sicks, Hedgedive Records, Ten Eight Records, Mikhail, Alex, Jason Ramone, Graham and all our friends and families. Sorry if we've forgotten anybody. Also we're still going to be on a Ramones tribute album for Ottawa bands that Sean Travolta is putting out. Blitzkrieg Bop is now up on our myspace page. We will also get some songs back from the studio, mix them and perhaps put them up on myspace or hand out cd's to anyone that wants one (email us). We have one last show and we plan on reuniting every year to play Punkfest until we grow tired of that aswell. You may also find us playing some parties here and there but no guarantees.
Keep listening to our music! Keep coming to this page! Keep telling people about us and tell them to listen to us! Keep putting us on your ipods! Keep trying to learn our songs! Tell us what you think. Loved us? Hated us? Whatever.
Thanks
Travolta Sings
Fuck You!

How it started
Critics everywhere seem to agree that Travolta Sings is the greatest sensation in Punk Rock history. It all started back in September of 2004 when Chris Halden and Dan Groulx got drunk on a Saturday night and decided to start a ska band. They called up their friend, Sean Tansey, and he agreed to play drums with them. They went through a couple of bassists until they settled with a cute boy by the name of Francois Allard. They went by the name of Punk Drunk Love (PDL). Dan Groulx later left the band and PDL continued without him. After playing a couple of shows, they finally realised that ska sucked and they wanted to be a straight punk band, also, Sean no longer wanted to play drums. They dropped the name Punk Drunk Love and got a new drummer by the name of Brian Pilon. They decided that the new name of the band would be Travolta Sings, thus, all the band members legally changed their last names to Travolta. Just when everyone thought that the band was set to hit the nighclubs, Travolta Sings noticed that Francois' bass skills were lacking and that they desperatly needed a new bass player. That's when Luke Travolta came into the picture and brought his skillful playing into the already very talented band. Now, Travolta Sings is better than ever. Francois, however, still remains good friends with the boys from Travolta Sings and curently manages the band.Based out of Ottawa, Travolta Sings blends a unique style of punk rock heavily influenced by The Ramones, Screeching Weasel, The Casual Fridays, Radar Hate, The Creeps, The Riptides, Choking Victim and NOFX. They have played over 30 shows across Ontario in towns such as Ottawa, Greely, Brockville, Prescott, Cornwall, Casselman, Hammond, Limoges, Vankleek Hill, Russell, Eganville, Embrun and Rockland. They have had the opportunity to share the stage with bands such Total Chaos(Epitaph Records), New World on Fire(Kill the Resistor Records), Killbourne(No List Records), The Bunchofuckingoofs(God Records), Eleven Minutes Away(Deep Elm Records), Pickseid(Montreal Ska), The Red Shag Carpet(Edmonton), Marianas Trench (604 Records) and many many more. In addition, they were asked to open two shows for Leftover Crack but plans unfortunetly fell through when the band was rejected from the country. They have also recently been asked to play a hardcore revival show sometime in the near future with hardcore legends Cro-Mags, Murphy's Law, Agnostic Front and Gorilla Biscuits(which we obviously won't be playing anymore :( ). The event will be held in Montreal sometime in 2007. In the summer of 2006, Travolta Sings embarked on their first tour and were asked to headline the Friday night at Punkfest 2006. Their songs are about zombies, crack addicts, relationships with mothers, bikes, drugs, beer, gummy bears and other topics that you wouldn't expect to find in a typical song. Travolta Sings' only goal is to play good music and hopefully offend people while doing it. So be sure to keep an eye out for Travolta Sings who will soon be releasing their first full length, Broke Fi Broke, on Hedgedive Records
