“The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.” Franklin Roosevelt

About Me

"The right to be let alone is indeed the beginning of all freedoms."-William O. DouglasThe above quote pretty much sums up my views and actions in life. I'm a loner and I enjoy my own company, though I am not against mingling with others when the mood strikes. I have zero taste in American pop culture, so don't expect me to contribute much to the conversation in this topic. My favorite past time is reading (just insert the word "nerd" here if you want). Biographies, political periodicals, history and law books take up the bulk of my time, though I try to squeeze in some 19th and early 20th century literature every now and then. Politics, law and asian studies are the three areas that take up a considerable amount of my intellectual curiosity, so sports, music and other forms of entertainment are, fortunately or unfortunately, put on the back burner. To describe my personality a bit further: I am sentimental, but I don't show it; I'm liberal, well scratch that, VERY LIBERAL in my political views, though I try to counter-balance that with a dose of realism in my legal and international views. I'm too analytical and a bit uptight for most people, but too damn bad. My one connection to the rest of society, I guess, is films. I love movies, but they are either foreign flicks, black and white films and the occasional popular movie of today. To sum it all up, I value my individuality above all else. It is what makes me unique compared to the rest in society. Besides that, there's nothing more I wish to add.

I'd like to meet:

For me, it all comes down to having an interesting personality and something to say. I always enjoy a good conversation and the longer the talk is the better. I enjoy people who are down to earth and not pretentious or stuck-up. In my eye a person is neither above nor below another. All in all anybody who believes in individuality and doesn't follow the crowd is all right in my book.
