Photography, Poetry, Fantasy and Art in general
I've already met them:
I could care less
Forget regret; or life is yours to miss
No other road,
No other way,
No day but today.
~ RENT
I lean most towards Fantasy and the classics, though I appreciate anything well written and substantial no matter the Genre. I try to squeeze in a book or two in a week, which isn't very hard since I enjoy it immensely.
Some favorites include:
- Dragonlance Chronicles
- Dragonlance Legends
- Wicked
- Les Miserables
- Portrait of Dorian Gray
- Frankenstein
- Redemption of Althalus
- Brave New World
- Lord of the Flies
- Collected Dialogues of Plato
- Jean Paul Sartre on Existentialism and Human Emotion
- Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect
- Ray Bradbury's Zen in Writing
- Grimm's Fairytales
And more that is impossible to remember
A human first, a photographer second; W. Eugene Smith shot with emotion and understanding for the human plight. I aspire, not for his greatness, but his never ending passion.
"Passion is in all great searches and is necessary to all creative endeavors." -- W. Eugene Smith
Elphaba, the misunderstood. She found comfort in those others would scorn, defied gravity and let herself grow.
"It's time to trust my instincts,
close my eyes, and leap..." -- Elphaba
Raistlin Majere, a representation of the evil that resides in all of us. Weak yet strong, loyal yet decieving, Evil yet one who makes things fair.
"Learn to control the power, never let it control you"
"If we stop living because we fear death, then we have already died." -- Raistlin Majere
