'He's a russian Bear!... Give him some Chekov.'

About Me

I'm a 28 year old Male from Letterkenny, co. Donegal. Ireland. Now living/working in Dublin. Working (when there's work) as a recording engineer and other whorish work to pay the bills. I have been lucky enough to work with some great people, either as an engineer or assistant. These include: the rubens, humanzi, republic of loose, Mercury rev, the thrills, Deus, Halite, Neosupervital, Joe Walsh(Rival), The Terribles, Nicola Williams, Soviet Filter, backstage Ireland, Bell x1, Wallmark, Dana Donneley, Berkeley, the movement, Glenwash, Vasco Jnr, John ,Shelley and the Creatures, Vertigo Smyth and a bung load of others. It was also me who recorded 'Don't stop believing' by Journey. I Then went on to record Frank Sinatra's difficult second album.... um.....'I'm Frank Sinatra' which wasn't too well received. Thankfully I did get to follow that up with The beatles 'Sergeant pepper' or 'Sergeant Pepper and the lonely hearts club band' to give it it's full title. My finest work in my mind, is Clannad's synth trad masterpiece, 'the winged man cometh'. Check it out. It's Bangin'. . I also have an extensive colection of name badges and hair nets and say 'Do you want a flake with that?' when asked for anything. I hope later in Life to be a top scientist for NASA. Or perhaps a Transponster.

My Interests

Music, Movies, Books, Food, Wine. Not necessarily in that order.

I'd like to meet:

Friends/like-minded people/non-likeminded people/ musicians who need someone to twiddle knobs,mic-up their talent/instruments/voices/loud things/toys/egos and just generally be someone to talk to when nobody else in the band 'gets them'. Also people who feel their sense of humour is not quite suitable for t.v. and that they might have something wrong with them. Anyone will do. I'm not fussy.... If you have a pulse you can be my friend.

Music:

Everything and anything in it's right place.

Movies:

Old Horror movies (Romero zombie flicks etc.), comedies (anything by Wes Anderson, christopher guest) Drama (anything by Paul Thomas Anderson). Will basically watch anything entertaining it doesn't matter to me if it's a cool little indie flick or a hollywood blockbuster. If it's good it's good. A few of my favorite films are 'Jesus Son', 'Halloween', 'Anchorman','28 days later', 'dead man's shoes', 'The last waltz'.

Television:

Family Guy, Simpsons, Spaced, The league of gentlemen, The office, Alan Partridge, Big Train,The mighty boosh, extras, .....comedy mainly. Will watch the news, though grudgingly. Don't really go in for Lost/sopranos/6 feet under or anything that requires commitment. I'd just don't have the time.

Books:

Paul Auster, Charles Bukowski, Denis Johnson, Dave Eggars anything Americana. Roddy Doyle, Paul Howard. Old Musical biographies. Will read anything I'm recommended by some friend who's better read than I.

Heroes:

Superman, Bat-like man, Spider-like man, Fast-paced man (sometimes known as the flash), the green horney man (know nothing about him.... who else? Cad eile? ...... Oh... I know......... X-man.
