Cielo Drive started off as a four piece in early 2002, initially covering songs by their favourite bands. Named after a nearly fatal car accident on a road that could have been their "road for the sky", the band began blasting local venues as part of their rehearsals. 2003 found Cielo Drive recording a cd with covers from artists such as Rage Against The Machine, System of a Down and Cypress Hill. The band avoided releasing any of their projects until production and composition had reached a satisfying level comparable with worldwide standards. So, during the summer of 2005, they entered the studio to record their first promotional effort, the self-titled Cielo Drive EP. This project brought them together with established names in the music industry, such as Paul Stefanides (music supervisor for the 2004 Olympic Games) and Danish rock producer Lennert Wendt. The band is currently working on new material and trying to build on the buzz generated so far from its promotional work. You can contact the band and send fanmail, hatemail, nude pictures or other weird shit thru myspace or for bookings and live appearences at [email protected]
