You Don't Love Me The Way That - I Love You

About Me

"What a comfort to find out you're losing your mind, when you re-realise that it's not the first time...you burnt the beyond when you learnt how to fly, just to learn later on that there isn't a sky..."I *love* fat pigeons.2007 has been nothing compared to 2006, but i've still had some ace nights/days/weeks inbetween. I've just applied to uni to study law...i'd rather tour round the country in a band/ with a band to be honest, but i may as well aspire to something in the meantime. Check my livejournal if you like, though i dont suppose it's the most interesting of reads to anyone other than me and those it mainly concerns! http://bubblegumyears.livejournal.com/msn: [email protected]

I like drinking, socialising, talking, friends, the rain, pyjamas, hair dye, orange wednesdays, politics, raves, our beach, wales, london, catching the train anywheree, gigs gigs gigs, moshpits, powerdressing, music music music, swimming, gymning it, hello kitty and rainbows (oooh scenekid), Parties, downloading obscure music, hot tubs, slightly geeky/indie boys, myspace messages, ikea, money, tequila, sambucca, malibu, primark, late-night msn/phone conversations, laughing till i cry, herbal tea, chillaxing, dressing up, festivals, landscape, new york, irrelevant coincidences, beauty (poems, song lyrics, people, ideas etc) ...Basically a hell of a lot!

Music:

Music is everything to me, and more.My most listened to of all time has to be P J Harvey and The Lemonheads both of which i discovered thanks to my mother aged 7 or 8 (a long side the spice girls, of course).More recently (last 4 years or so) QOTSA have probably been my most listened to band other than the latter. The Automatic, Viva Machine (www.myspace.com/vivamachine), The Strokes, Billy Talent, Rage against the machine, half-man half-biscuit, dismemberment plan, Husker-du, Dinosaur JR Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M, Pull Tiger Tail, BKB (both thanks to alice!), therapy?, Catatonia, WAS, Get Cape, Mumm-ra, The Alterkicks, forward russia, the pigeon detectives, limp bizkit, the specials, klaxons, Datarock, Switches, Pizzicato 5 and probably loads more i have forgotten as i did that off the top of my head!!I like indie, r'n'b, soul, jazz, rock and recently even a bit of metal, and everything in between.i used to sing properly. I miss it.my favourite songs of all time are losing your mind, legs, feel good hit of the summer, true love waits, hurt, tijuana lady and dog-faced boy. If you know who these are by chances are we'll get on :)

Movies:

Generally comedy, Neo-violence, cheese and arty stuff:28 days later 40 Year old virgin Crouching tiger, hidden dragon Natural Born Killers The Usual Suspects Little Miss Sunshine TRANSFORMERS (okay it was terrible but in an ace kinda way) House of 1000 corpses Sin City Disney classics Anything with clive owen in because i'm a perv

Television:

I generally rely on Chris to recommend stuff, most recently brasseye :D Mock the week, qi... comedy stuff like that mainly. Oh and scrubs/ER of course!

Books:

"We live our lives, do whatever we do and then we sleep - beyond our extravagant hopes. It's as simple and and ordinary as that. A few jump out of windows or drown themselves or take pills; more die by accident; and most of us, the vast majority, are slowly devoured by some disease or, if we're very forutate, by time itself. There's just this for consolation: an hour here or there when our lives seem, against all odds and expectations, to burst open and give us everything we've ever imagined - though everyone knows that these hours will inevitably be followed by others, far darker and more difficult. And still, we cherish the city, the morning - We hope, more than anything, for more."
