Bad Snouts

Bad dogs rock machine, straight out the U.S.S.R.

About Me

After a quick visit to 'the internet band name generator' and securing a copy of Cool Edit Pro and a microphone, Bad Snouts took to recording some latter day, comtemporary punk classics for the amusement of his friends, himself, and any animal or plant life in the area, including Puka and Peanut, his two dogs. Should his band mates, from previous projects such as Elves and Colostomy Bag, ever return from there respective homes in Romania, Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles, one can expect Bad Snouts to be transformed into a mighty performing outfit, the type you might catch any Friday or Saturday night at your favorite club or bar, playing music and not just pouring pitchers. Until then, the Absinthe flows into my face whilst hunched over a badass Fender Jaguar, murmuring inanities, and figuring out the chords to some favorites and a few originals perhaps as well.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Stoner Carpenter.

Influences: Previous projects, including the bands Harbor, Elves, and Colostomy Bag.

The desire to fill a space, being alone, jealousy, contentment, metaphorical objects such as a paint brush or empty canvas, speed trials, the desire to coo to small animals, my ego, the desire to romanticize bygone eras, nostalgia, el paso texas, kaltes clares wasser, lebanon oregon, santa cruz california, passive resistance.

The World Inferno Friendship Society, Early and primitive sounding Sebadoh, Daniel Johnston, Rick White, Lou Reed, Love Songs of the Month, anyone who has ever tried to record something on a cassette 4-track by themselves, polished rock performer or no.

Sounds Like: Leslie Gore's bastard cousin after sifting through her record collection, strumming an acoustic guitar, and playing along. A drunken, cool, and swagering 15 minutes on the soapbox proper. The best rock band to roam the face of the Earth, ever. Allright, maybe not, but it sounded good there for a moment.
Record Label: Virgin.
Type of Label: Major
