Yeah nah

About Me

Who woulda thunken I'd write this again?

Not me.

Here's the jist of things:
My name's Tom. Chances are I'll get along with you unless you're a smartarse fuckhead like me. I like friends and friendly people. I don't appreciate dishonesty or ignorance. Music is a passion and I try to stay in touch with new stuff. Once it's popular I generally disregard it on account of I enjoy feeling more cultured than you.
I'm in my first year of a Masters Degree in Architecture at Adelaide Uni, which is a blessed change from all the fucking maths I did at school.
I enjoy a good game of Pro Evo and a Carlton Cold fresh from the eski with one Michael Cleggett - the only other man to achieve a perfect TER score in 2006.
Winter is the best time of year.
Tennis is my sport and Seacliff is my club. I love colours. Objects that bring happy memories are priceless. Nostalgia is for young and old alike.
My family is complicated but it doesn't really bother me. Ricki is the best. She is beautiful and I love her more than everything else put together.
I feel that stereotypes and segregated classifications are fun to use but dangerous to abide by and should be avoided in most cases. Racist jokes make me laugh, and if they offend you please keep it to yourself. I like clothes. My hair is pretty long and that's how it will stay.
I'm gonna keep this last bit from my old rantings because I think it was clever and I like to feel clever.
My ambition is to live to see whatever is so amazing that it will kill me.

This man is an example to us all. Make a difference.

The world is like a ride at an amusement park. It goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride...” But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. Jesus - murdered; Martin Luther King - murdered; Malcolm X - murdered; Gandhi - murdered; John Lennon - murdered; Reagan... wounded. But it doesn't matter because: It's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

My Interests

Myself, my music, tennis.
Pro Evolution Soccer, Walter Burley Griffin, creating mixtapes, fine foods, trackies, Chuck Taylors, Big Star, BBQs, Jack Nicholson, camping, things that not many other people are interested in so that I can feel educated, Richard Feynman, design, absurd architecture, Stanley Kubrick, scowling at Summer-fresh artists in mid-Winter, travelling, drawing, buying stuff, sleeping after not sleeping and a whole lot of stuff not worth writing down.
I'm a victim of Pop-Culture.
