Hello! I used to be a fairy but now I am grown up and I am a nurse instead.I am not very evil as you can see below. I am kind to animals and will remember your birthday - probably. My Interests

Dancing in the nightclubs and the frontrooms and the fields and the scratty old warehouses. Cooking: cakes, yoga, musical extravaganzas, going on holidays, drinking the lovely booze, watching the films. Oh! and dead cultured things like the theatre. Live Comedy!! Debating the myriad issues of life with the friends. The Guardian Crossword. Food in all its many forms. Apart from celery and ice cream wafers. Anything that is smaller than what it should be.

Music:

Many, many things. I like the deep house for dancing. And hip-hop and reggae and funk (70's) and soul (60's/70's/Northern). But my main thing that I listen to at home is your more quitarry type of thing. Favourite bands being the Super Furry Animals & Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Also: Good old folkie stuff like John Martyn & Nick Drake, top notch old country like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson & also Carole King, Kings of Leon, Flaming Lips, Kings of Convenience. At present am mostly listening to !!! (CHK CHK CHK), Iron and Wine and Damian Marley. Am also liking that young Skinnyman chap.

Movies:

Anything by Tim Burton (apart from the monkies), also Coen Bros & Kevin Smith, La Haine, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Secretary, Buffalo Soldiers, Dr Zhivago, Performace, Don't Look Now, Happy Gilmour, Streetcar Named Desire, My Beautiful Laundrette, Dog Soliders, Ghost Dog:Way of the Samurai. Oh! and I forgot Pedro Almoldovar.

Television:

Neighbours, Shameless, Mighty Boosh, 15 Storeys High, ER, Crimewatch, My name Is Earl, Channel 4 News, The League of Gentlemen. New in - Kath and Kim.

Books:

Anything by Margaret Atwood. The Vesuvius Club by Mark Gatiss out of TLOG is great. I like Jane Austen actually, and Bill Bryson, Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis and Evelyn Waugh. Donna Tartt and Ian McEwan and Haruki Murakami. Iain Banks (not the Sci-Fi). Agatha Christie.

Heroes:

Seriously now: Tony Benn, Dolly Parton, Shirin Ebadi, Mary Seacole, Charlie Brooker.
