About Me

I'm a born and raised Iowanian. I am a huge sports fanatic! I started playing Rugby at the young age of 32 for my hometown team River City Rugby. I was a hooker for seven years, retiring after these old bones started to feel the pain on Monday mornings a little too much. I went to San Diego in May of 2005 for the World Golden Oldies Rugby Festival. It was one of the best weeks of my life, and can't wait to take a tour again with my former team mates & friends. Right now, it looks like The Olde' Barking Dogs will be heading to Scotland in 2008! I am still the treasurer for my former team and like to keep involved with all aspects of our club. I just retired as manager of my step-son's band after 2-1/2 years of hitting the road all around the state. It was a blast, but hectic for an old guy like me. I have three kids, and one grand son, AJ. The aging process has me pissed on a daily basis. I don't remember groaning every time I stood up from my chair five years ago. I treasure my family and friends. To imagine where I'd be without them, scares me. I found the love of my life when I was 32 years old, and still get goose bumps when we kiss. My life is good. My life is fun. My life is what I make it. I kinda like gambling just a little once in awhile too....
