Hip Hop Since 1983...The Demonstration II Coming 12.23.08

About Me

In the summer of 1996 a musical genius was brought to light when I moved to the Gulf Coast (Biloxi, MS). Mike E.D. was destined to be a force in this music industry since he was a young man in the game. My love for the music goes all the way back to 1990 when my father a U.S. Marine mailed me my first mixtapes, and ever since then music has been my niche. It all started with my brother (Dollah Dae) and me in my room rhyming on old track recorders for fun. Then it evolved into something much bigger as we got older and more aware of this culture we call "Hip Hop".
My first hobby had me writing poems and watching music videos at an earlier age. Now let's fast forward to 2000 when me and my brother formed our record company "FLAT-LYNE ENT." At that point I was still emceeing but I seen something way more for filling in the production side of the music. So I went out and purchased my first of many keyboards. I got really comfortable with creating beats for my partners and I. We decided to attend every talent show, record pool as well as opening acts for some major artists. We got a local buzz by word of mouth and performing.
Now in 2003 we decided to release an underground mixtape "Mississippi Studies" it was a compilation of all our work to date. We received great reviews because it was the first of it's kind. With that under our belt, that got us a news broadcast about local hip hop, but through the ups and downs of trying to break into the game some of our friends turned on us the people we thought was down for the cause started to act funny. That caused us to reevaluate what was important and what really mattered.
With all the drama behind us we formed a new crew and in 2005 put out the first release "Tha Lyne Volume One" under our record label "FLAT-LYNE ENT." All the hard work started to pay off with five thousand units sold with that release. Flooding the blocks from Texas to Georgia and everything in between. In the midst of the hype the most tragic natural disaster happened and crushed every thing we owned.
After the storm comes sunshine, we regrouped once again and begun promoting the mixtape by traveling nation wide. Our grinding took us all the way to Cleveland, OH to attend the Rap Olympics. The local radio station JZ94.5 started to show recognition by spinning our first hit "By Tha Bar" as well our latest "Swang Then". Now that brings us to 2006 when "Pay Dae Volume Two" was released. The release created a revolution and sold one thousand copies it's first month. With producing and mixing being my strong point I'm ready to take it to the next level, and what is that you ask? The Majors.
