Milly began singing and performing from a very young age - that said - attempting to sing at the ripe old age of 3 and then at 7 years old making her way out to the ’granny flat’ of her house (where no one would hear) to belt out the tunes of Tina Arena and Amy Grant.It wasn’t until Milly was 14 - after consistently being involved in school productions, singing and drama groups that Milly decided to take up singing lessons - something she had wanted to do for a very long time.At 15, after little experiance - Milly was asked to sing with her first band - a jazz band! From there she was offered a position doing a semi-professional gig - working in a theatre restaurant - where she stayed on to perform 3 shows. After having a taste of performing in a cabaret and theatre restaurant type environment, she was encouraged to more bigger and better things. Due to Milly’s success in this arena, at 16, she landed a lead role in her first professional production - "Jump Sugar Jump".After alot more experiance under Milly’s belt and participation in more school productions,festivals, charity evemts, competitions, bistros and bars - at 17 years of age, Milly made it her business to take on "Australian Idol".With all the support behind her, Milly left to auditon in Tasmania (although a Melbourne girl). So the journey began - out of 25, 000 people, Milly made her way to the Top 8 of Australian Idol 2005. A memory she will never forget - full of many experiances, emotions and opportunities - the best time of her life to date!An amazing and enjoyable experiance so far, but at 18 - the dream has just begun for Milly.Life continues to evolve around music - and theres no doubt you’ll be seeing and hearing from Milly soon.
