And now for the obligatory list, in order of how I thought of it: Bad Brains, The Beatles, Beck, Broken Social Scene, The Cars, Devo, Death From Above 1979, At The Drive-In, Funkadelic, Funky 16 Corners, Gorillaz, Happy Mondays, Joy Division, Led Zeppelin, Mars Volta, Minor Threat, Muse (I think), N.W.A., Cuff The Duke, Pink Floyd, Parliament, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, The Strokes, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie (glam rock days), The Roots, Public Enemy, Buzzcocks, The Clash, Select 80's one hit wonders (Spandau Ballet I'm looking at you), The Hives, Jimi Hendrix, The Music (1st album; the follow up was pure bullshit), Syd Barrett, King Crimson, ELP, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, The Stooges, Crass, The Doors, Tower of Power, and..... more, I guess. Some of these I only kinda like, and I could add others but it would go on for too long. So long, in fact that here's more bands, in the interests of making matters unwieldy! Gang of Four, Stone Roses, Lil Jon for irony's sake, The Smiths because I feel the need to fit in, Rites of Spring, Fugazi, oh hell why don't I just say the 80's harDCore scene in general, Refused, The Specials, van der Graaf Generator and...
I like movies. Good ones. Which is really in the eye of the beholder when you think about it, I mean what is pure gold to one person is absolute shite to another. One man's trash is another's treasure. Cliche cliche cliche. (clap clap) cliche cliche. Dancehall hit circa 1987. This has ceased to be about movies, and for that I can only apologize.
I like sitcoms, and satire. I don't like reality tv, its just not for me. I like Lost.
I like reading. I like some fiction, and I like history and I like biographies.
Those who've been idealized and whose flaws are not public knowledge. And good people.
