Shark Diver at sharkdiver.com began its first shark diving operations in 2001.Since then we have been setting the industry standard for safe shark encounters and unique dive adventures worldwide. Offering four full-time vessels servicing famed white shark dive site Isla Guadalupe, Mexico. Alternate international dive sites include an exclusive deep-dive submarine in Honduras to go play with 19 foot benthic sharks and giant squid dive encounters in the Sea of Cortez. Recently named Top 10 Extreme Adventure Provider by ShermansTravel.com.
In 1998, long-range fishing boats out of San Diego started reporting fantastic interactions with numerous great whites while fishing for world-class tuna. Great whites -- from 14-19 feet in length -- were surging up from the crystal-clear waters and attacking their catches right at the boat.
Shark Diver is excited to offer 5-day expeditions to Isla Guadalupe to view this pristine and untouched site. In less than 6 years it has now been established that great whites have a large and valuable presence in Pacific waters, with three known areas where great whites congregate year after year and are able to be viewed with relative ease by interested divers and shark researchers. This recent discovery in Mexico is the most exciting yet. Our established goal for this new site is careful cage diver interactions combined with long-term behavioral research.
Shark Diver is a proud supporter of the Guadalupe Fund. A non profit funding source for Isla Guadalupe's new Biosphere Reserve created by Mexico in late 2002. The Guadalupe Fund is supported by a like minded group of eco-tour operators, vessel owner/operators and research interests, with the purpose of protecting the unique and rare plant and animal species -- including great whites -- of Isla Guadalupe. Please show your support and visit our site at www.guadalupefund.org .
