I’m a queer republican daughter of two beautiful hippies. I’m the overprotective sister to the fiercest Irish temper I know and aunt to her 3 wonderful pups. I’m a loyal friend. My heart is currently shriveled to the size of a pea, though it has the potential to grow immensely when I allow it. I’ve taken Shakespeare’s All’s Well that Ends Well to be my mantra: “Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.” I have an absurd faith in people that I know better than to have. People constantly amaze me with what they are capable of doing to one another. I consider myself completely secular, but am obsessed with organized religion and the power it has over people.I’m a river rat at heart. I love to spend my summers floating along the river listening to ragae music and drinking cheap beer. I love the rain and thunderstorms, especially if I am inside cuddling up while they are going on. I am terrified I will be crushed to death in my old skool elevator when an earthquake rips the building apart so I usually take four flights of stairs up to my apartment. I am mesmerized by the ocean and the power in its depths.I have an outrageously dark/crass/sardonic sense of humour that people either love or hate about me. Some people might see it as a pessimistic or negative side of me, but it is all in jest. The way I see it is if you can not find laughter in the horribleness of this world then you will eventually become consumed by it. I can laugh at myself as easily as I can laugh at others. Perhaps I use my joking as a defense mechanism, yes I took psych 101. Ultimately, I’m a very enthusiastic, lighthearted, loving person. I don’t generally hold much back so far as I think or feel. Ive been told a time or two I can be a tad intense. I think I’m ok with that.I like ridiculously bad B horror movies, sing along with musicals, and love any film that creates an internal dialogue. I am nerdy and like to read and do crossword puzzles and play scrabble. I am extremely competitive in pretty much every element of my life. I love sports, especially baseball. Driving is my favorite pastime and where I do my best thinking. Roadtrips are the greatest times with friends I’ve ever had. I like to travel, worldwide or locally. I love discovering little corners of the city you’d never find if you weren’t looking. I love finding new restaurants and bars to enjoy.I’m a wallflower and an observer by nature. I usually have a lot to say, but you have to actually listen to hear it. I am a good listener. If I don’t have anything to say, I might not say anything at all. I am comfortable with silence, not many people are. I’m strong but sensitive, a sentimental stoic, I am partly oxy… mostly moron. A walking contradiction if you will. I pride myself on being difficult to figure out and I seem to think I am more mysterious if I wear a hat all the time.
