Fearless Filmhouse was born from the Fearless Hyenas Comedy Team.
Founder Jae Greene, like most members of the team, grew up on Kung Fu Theatre and dreamed of making his own chop sockey flix one day.
After a few years toiling in obscurity doing comedy sketches, Jae decided it was time to give action a shot, especially last year when John Woo (a big influence on Jae) had his STRANGLEHOLD VIDEO CONTEST. The team set out to create an entry video and for the first time tried thier hand at something other than comedy. The result was "UNCOVERED" a Hong Kong style shoot 'em up short. It turned out OK (as u can see in the vids section) but more importantly opened the team up to more than just comedy. The seed was planted and action became our genre of focus. But rest assured we will not be delivering the generic Hollywood action movie. Most of our influence comes from Hong Kong Cinema, yes Kung Fu flix, but also horror and shoot-em-up's as well. And there are alot of great movies coming from Japan, Thailand and Korea also when it comes to high octane action!
Of course we will still be doing the occaisional comedy sketch since funny is always fun, and incorporating comedy with action. But the idea is we want to stand-out from the billions of "jackass" wannabes out there making comedy vids on the web, and action is something most of us enjoy just as much as the comedy.
Plus we also would like to welcome MOHAMMED J. ALI to the Fearless Team. Alot of the action is possible thanks to Mohammed joining the team and bringing with him years of martial arts training, a second degree black belt, and patience to train, choreograph and just deal with this bunch of crazies!
So stick with us. We're going thru some changes but we promise you won't be dissappointed.
