About Me

Myspace Editor

First and foremost, I'm a mom. I do my darndest to be there for my girls whenever they need me - some days are better than others. One day I can be like a cat walking easily across a limb, then next day I'm hanging on with my nails !!Secondly, I'm an athlete but only part-time. I run, ski, bike, and play in whatever leagues come my way (volleyball, basketball, flag football, softball). I wish I had time to play racquetball again - I miss that one. My ability to 'play' keeps me sane when life tries to bind me in a straight-jacket...My other titles are Wife, Sister, Daughter, Best Friend, Friend, Co-worker, peer. I'm sure I've earned a few others but no one has said them to my face yet.All in all, I'm considered fairly laid-back (although my daughter's friends seem to fear me a bit). I think I've finally learned that life is too short for negativity.

My Interests

Downhill skiing, running, biking, staying fit and competitive !!

I'd like to meet:

Lance Armstrong, Neil Armstrong, Stretch Armstrong (just kidding). There are a number of folks in Hollywood I'd like to meet...if only to ask them "What were you thinking ??" as I slap them upside the head.

Music:

It depends on my mood... Rob Thomas to Nine Inch Nails to Tchaikovsky !!

Movies:

The Thomas Crowne Affair, Top Gun... I don't see too many movies - no time to sit still that long !!

Television:

CSI, Without a Trace, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy... again, when I have the time !!

Books:

Agatha Christie novels, the Harry Potter series...

Heroes:

Everyday people who do extraordinary things !! Anyone who overcomes a personal weakness to achieve their goals.

Pedal to the Point

In August of 1999, I signed up to ride in a bicycle event called Pedal to the Point aka the MS150.  My motivation was to try and cover the century route of the course (100miles) - it was a traini...
