About Me

..

IF I DON'T KNOW YOU, IT DOESN'T TAKE A GENIUS TO FIGURE OUT YOU'RE NOT MY FRIEND, SO DON'T EXPECT TO BE

beavers and ducks! beavers and ducks!
..
..

Tye, my brother, you are finally with your bestfriend and no longer in pain. Still, I miss you so much and can't believe it's real.

~

Darius…. I'll never, ever, ever forgive myself for not having made time for us to get together. I'm so sorry Darius, I’m so sorry, you are greatly missed.

Uh...whada ya wanta kno???I'm out going, but also love chillin at home. I've always considered myself "one of the guys" and therefore have very limited desire to gain any "girlfriends", which doesn't help my sausage parties, but oh well! Don't get me wrong, I love my stilettos almost as much as my sweats and baseball cap. I've been known to dance on table tops as the life of the party and also as someone who will easily opt to just stay home with my English Breakfast tea and a National Geographic special. Those who don't just really want to enjoy life, be cRaZY and laugh as much as possible, stay the hell away from me!On that same token, if you don't know the REAL words to the Sara Lee jingle, um, .....please don't say it to me or sing it. (it's Nobody DOESN'T like Sara Lee - get it? It's a double negative making it a positive!)(You have no idea how many times....)I'm one of those people who loves the little experiences and stories you get out of life. (Did anyone know it's illegal to drive with no pants or g-string on when in the car, at night, by yourself, in Missouri??? - well it is) That sometimes leads me to my rebellious side. I'm not a huge fan of tradition or doing things just because I'm suppose to or because everyone else does. In fact chances are if you tell me I'm suppose to...I'll do everything in my power to make sure I don't.I'm fiercely loyal (a.k.a. Aries!). I'm the kind of person to give you all my trust up front until you do something to not deserve it. At that point, I will forever look at you through different eyes. But if you're my friend, and I've known most of my friends for 5-10+, I'll fight to the death for you in every since of the word! I'm extremely passionate about those issues which I truly believe in: fighting Poverty, AIDS, Global Warming, Bush! ALWAYS fighting FOR MARSHALL!
I suck at keeping in contact, returning phone calls, or really letting people know how much I appreciate them and how special they are to me in my life... I really need to get better at that because there really are only a handful of people I surround myself with and all of them have added something more than special to my life.I love camping at bluegrass festivals with the GRILLBILLIES!!!! I'm also in love with summer nights, Autumn and (strickly as my dawg) MARSHALL!

"Love when you can, cry when you have to Be who you must that's a part of the plan Await your arrival with simple survival And one day we'll all understand"

So, let me get this straight…. The European Ottomans invaded a bunch of places including North Africa and after about 4 centuries, the Hungarians, then Russians, Greeks and Serbs all got a go at being big daddy. Then Europe decides that after WWI it wants to take over its provinces and make them colonies.

What? Did you say something, did you ask what they are?!?!

SYRIA ~ IRAQ ~ LEBANON ~ YEMEM

The Europeans then set about drawing nice, neat, straight lines to divide their new colonies. But why bother to adjust boundaries for little things like centuries old cultures or even physical features in the landscape. Naw, the heck with that!

Oh, what? I’m sorry, did you ask what happened next???

Funny you should ask, due to these boundaries and some desert zones being poorly divided and never marked,………. TADA ~ IRAQ was born! And not just any ole plop out birth, it was made a kingdom by British Colonial Secretary Winston Churchill in 1921, making Baghdad the capital. Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh, a BRITISH KINGDOM, how noble and prestigious!

But wouldn’t ya know that later on these little ole British lines in the dirt would lead to quarrels and armed conflicts with neighboring Muslim states. Would you believe those darn boundary lines were drawn before anyone knew there was a crap load of oil out there??? Yup, you guessed it, that led to some very unevenly distributed oil wealth and wouldn’t ya know that just happened to create another source of division and distrust among Islamic neighbors!? Who’d a thunk it!

History is such a funny thang aint it? Now…I don’t know about you, but um, maybe, just MAYBE going into other countries and bossing them around isn’t a proven good-long-term idea. Just maybe!

HOW DARE WE (anyone) TRY AND DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us Mosh pits outside the oval office Someone's tryina tell us something, Maybe this is god just sayin' we're responsible For this monster, this coward, That we have empowered This is Bin Laden, look at his head noddin' How could we allow something like this without pumping our fists Now this is our final hour Let me be the voice in your strength and your choice Let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise Try to amplify the times it, and multiply by six... Teen million people, Are equal at this high pitch Maybe we can reach alqueda through my speech Let the president answer a higher anarchy Strap him with an Ak-47, let him go, fight his own war Let him impress daddy that way No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain't loyal If we don't serve our own country, we're patronizing a hero Look in his eyes its all lies The stars and stripes, they've been swiped, washed out and wiped And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die If I get sniped tonight you know why, Cause I told you to fight.

And as we proceed, To Mosh through this desert storm, In these closing statements, if they should argue Let us beg to differ As we set aside our differences And assemble our own army To disarm this Weapon of Mass Destruction That we call our President, for the present And Mosh for the future of our next generation To speak and be heard Mr. President, Mr. Senator Do you guy's hear us...hear us...

I'm pretty open minded and always game for new experiences. I always have and always will enjoy going to the theater, camping, knitting, the arts in general, out doors, fine dinning, traveling, hittin' the lounges with my dogs for a great night of dancin' and drinkin' and so much more...
One of the best experiences in my life was when I took a solo road trip earlier last year to Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock and Branson. The open road, my ipod, amazing history (Civil Rights Museum is in the St. Lorraine hotel and the building, kept as it was, in which the shooter stood, is a must see.), the best peach cobbler I ever had (Little Rock) and seeing apart of how "real America" lives.

Weird (perahps interesting) facts:

I am on the National Bone Marrow Donor list for anyone in need.

I am listed as an organ donor on my licenses as I want to save as many other lives as possible if I no longer need what I have. In addition, the only reason my God Brother lived as long as he did was because of a much needed kidney donation.

Since 1954, when doctors successfully performed the first human organ transplant, the lives of more than 400,000 people in the United States have been saved by transplantation. It is the leading form of treatment for many forms of end-stage organ failure. With this success, however, has come increasing demand for donated organs. Today, more than 86,000 people are awaiting transplants nationwide and in the US alone, 17 people die EVERY DAY while awaiting an organ.

There's no reason life saving gifts should just rot in the ground! It's not even ashes to ashes and dust to dust anymore, they seal the damn casket in cement!

I'm type O pos which apparently means I'm hot! (who knew!lol)

Left: You are a hostage in a desert prison camp, overhearing your buddy being tortured in the adjacent room, knowing you're next.

Center: You are a four-year-old boy at a new, "realistic" dinosaur theme park, getting a lick on the head from a 50-foot-long mechanical brontosaurus.

Right: You are a heroin addict begging your dealer to give you a fix, promising you'll pay him later, really.

A Love Song for Bobby Long, Gone With The Wind, High Society, Love Actually, Crash.

V for Vendetta is one of my all time favorites. I love everything about that film. The power people could have over the government if we would all unite together for the common good! Books:

(Best magazine to read! Awesome political articles!)

I LOVE reading and as of lately I've been chain reading...

Here are some of my favorites:Conversations with God - Neale Donald Walsch Borrowed Finery - Paula Fox The Mermaid Chair - Sue Monk Kid Sellevision, Dry, Running With Scissors, Possible Side Effects - Augusten Burroughs 9 Highland Road: Sane Living for the Mentally Ill - Michael Winerip The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath Mary, Called Magdalene - Margaret George Hooked: Five Addicts Challenge Our Misguided Drug Rehab System - Lonny Shavelson The Red Tent - Anita Diamant Education of a Felon - Edward Bunker An Unquiet Mind - Key Redfield Jamison The Quiet Room: A Journey out of the Torment of Madness - Lori Schiller Dracula - Bram Stoker The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova Lying - Lauren Slater Random Family - Adrian Nicole LeBlanc Black, White and Jewish: Autobiography of a Shifting Self - Rebecca Walker Pour Your Heart into It: How Starbucks Built a Company One Cup at a Time - Howard Schultz, Dori Jones Yang Cane River - Lalita Tademy Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers - Mary Roach Lucky - Alice Sebold Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America - Barbara Ehrenreich Rescuing Patty Hearst: Growing Up Sane in a Decade Gone Mad - Virginia Holman The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable - Patrick Lencioni I Know Thi sMuch Is True - Wally Lamb Mr.Nice was amazing, must read (especially if ya partake in the ganja - not sold in the US, go to amazon.co.uk) - Howard Marks Blue Rage, Black Redemption by Stanley "Tookie" Williams, co-founder of the Crips. This is an AMAZING glimpse into an incredible world! When the Crips was started, it was with no intention of what it's become. Their real name was "CRIBS" - but whenever they were drunk, they said Crips.... Tookie was not a saint by any means, but he did spend the better part of his life trying to correct all his wrongs and teach children and the world about the troubles and hardships of violence. Every gangbanger should read this book!

Heroes:

Larry Gibson - one of the last hold outs against the huge coal company, Massey Coal Company in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virgina. Thus far a cottage of his has been burned to the ground, one dog killed and numerous shootings at his home, which has been in his family for over 10 generations. All this because apparently he has a gold mine of coal under his property and they want him out.

Augusten Burroughs- I admire all individulas who grow up in a very dysfunctional family and who turn that into strength. Or at least say FUCK it, and live for themself. Augusten probably doesn't think he's a strong person, but dude, you're still alive, you're in love, you're a successful writer, you're pretty damn strong! And what's more, he's one of the most honest human beings I know of.

Grey Nickels- established the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement; signed by 212 mayors representing 43 million Americans, the initiative commits each city to following Kyoto guidelines by reducing greenhouse-gas emissions to pre-1990 levels. He said, F Bush, if the President and Federal government wont sign Kyoto, I will!!!
