After spending six years in software development only to join the ranks of the unfortunate many to be downsized, Shaun Sorrells is taking the passionate plunge into a pool he's been dipping his toes into since he was a child. Shaun's first musical love, the saxophone, led him to many accolades, including recording projects, and a successful performance at the famous Apollo Theatre. During his college days at Tuskegee University, Shaun locked himself in the basements of the historic chapel to teach himself piano. The drums followed, as well as many other woodwind instruments.
Shaun has written songs in different genres. And now, gifted with an eclectic taste and broad musical experience, Shaun has found the time to produce music. From writing, composing, arranging, Shaun enjoys it all. "I don't like to be limited to a genre. I've been blessed to appreciate various styles of good music, and gifted to be able to create various styles of music." With strong Gospel/Christian roots, Shaun has an authentic sound that incorporates the best of Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Neo Soul, Rock, and the list goes on.
