About Me

..I'm Stu, I live in New York City. I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I love my life, and I can honestly say that right now I'm living the dream. I work hard and play harder. I work in live sound (I'm that guy standing on the side of the stage that looks important, even though I'm just one of the MANY on crew that makes these concerts and events happen) I compose music, DJ, read (not just magazines!), watch movies compulsively, drink like a marine and curse like a sailor.

My Interests

Music is the main focus of my life and it seems that everything is somehow connected to it... I love to snowboard, but I have to have my mp3 player blowing my ears out while I do it. I love to go to concerts, gigs, shows, underground desert raves, anything with live music involved. I love to read (although I definitely don't read as much as I'd like to.) I love to write ANYTHING... Songs, poems, short stories, a journal, whatever. I would go to more art museums if I had people to go with that were interested. I love my old '50 Chevy Pickup. She needs alot of work, but she will always be my first love. I love to travel whenever and where ever I can. I'm a big fan of the outdoors. Hiking, camping, backpacking, anything where I can get some fresh air. I love to watch movies... Anything entertaining... Cheesy horror movies or deep introspective dramas... The ocean will always be a part of me. I don't go to the beach all that often, but I love it and I could never live too far away from it. I put away my fair share of drinks... New Castle, Guiness, Bass, Arrogant Bastard, Pacifico, Negro Modelo, Sam Adams, White Russians, Redbull and Vodkas, Jack and Cokes... Yum. One of my favorite things to do is just hope in a car and drive... Most of the time I don't even know where I'm going to go, but just to be on the road is great. I think coffee actually runs through my veins instead of blood because I drink so damn much of the stuff. I'm very open minded, and I'll try just about anything once. Most importantly, I have my girlfriend Jess... She's my sun, my moon, and my starlit night.

I'd like to meet:

My Grandpa's...Trent Reznor...Chris Clark...President Bush (So I could slap him for sending me to Iraq and being an overall idiot)...Richard D James...Charles Bukowski...Robert Pirsig...Jimi Hendrix...Bjork...Butch Vig...Anyone who loves music as much as me

Music:

I don't have enough time to fill out this section.

Movies:

Too many to list them all... that's what happens when you live with a film student with 300 DVDs... It's like living in Blockbuster.

What?

You want names?

Well, ok... Anything directed by Cameron Crowe, David Fincher, or Darren Aronofsky. Requiem For A Dream, Donnie Darko, High Fidelity, Fight Club, True Romance, Kill Bill (both parts), Braveheart, Almost Famous, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, The Last Samurai, The Ninth Gate, Vanilla Sky, Run Lola Run, Snatch, Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, and many many more that will come to me later.

Television:

KILL YOUR TV! No, REALLY! Television rots your brain, although the show 24 isn't that bad (but damn its like crack, you just can't get enough!) so buy it on DVD... That, The Family Guy, and The Simpsons. Oh yeah, and that show on comedy central with the guy who just runs around a different city everynight getting drunk and staying up untill dawn... I want that guy's job.

Books:

For Whom The Bell Tolls, the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, SongBook, Fahrenheit 451, anything by Charles Bukowski, the Tao Te Ching, What's the Matter With Kansas, just finished Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance... if you haven't read it, READ IT, it will change your life. Anything by Bukowski.

Heroes:

My Dad, my brother, Trent Reznor, Frank Sinatra, James Dean, Homer Simpson, The Dude, Johnny Depp, every firefighter, Robin Williams, Butch Vig, Nellee Hooper, Bjork, All of musics finest lost at the age of 27, Eeyore, Thom Yorke, Greg Graffen, Rauld Dahl, Kevin Smith, Jim Hensen, and many others...

Don Henley is a jackass

No...  Really... Total jerkoff...  He also sang every top song of the 80's and early 90's.  Oh... And apparently he really can't play a good show if he's cold.  In other news, Gwen...
