'Away With The Fairies' is a three piece band from enfield, North London. We are two sisters and a bestest friend starting a journey which should have begun long ago but i guess for some reason was waylaid till now. We got our name when some rude bastard called me 'Away With The Fairies' at uni! Only having picked up my drum sticks two years ago i am new to the world of making music. Recently i was given what i believe to be a 'sign', (being avid believers in all things spiritual, mystical or whatever you wish to call it!) whilst at a Feeder concert i caught the drummers drum stick as he threw it into the crowd. I feel it is only right of me to use this opportunity.....and become a world famous rock star!Lilith- an amazing, singer songwriter and guitarist and according to men my 'scary' sister! He He. Has been writing/singing/playing for around 4 years now and has recently left her old band Monkey Wench to take on bigger and better things. So far this year she has even managed to acquire her own stalker and we haven't even had a hit single yet! I'm so jealous!And then there was Kate, the brains of the outfit. Previously part of the first incarnation of Monkey Wench before they were crap(he he only joking Al), and before she ran away to witham, aka shitam, essex and was lost to the devil. Now shes back with a vengence to save me and tracy from certain obscurity (we even had trouble tuning our guitars before she came!) Kate has played trumpet and sax for 10 years and has a couple of years experience on the drums 'Away With The Fairies' are set for world domination, and if your wondering where all the riot grrrls went, were here drinking tea and eating battenburg.
