Athletics -- especially college football (Go Ducks!) and major league baseball. It is my goal to watch a baseball game in all 30 major league stadiums (the total so far is 20: Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland A's, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers). I love the way that baseball stadiums reflect the culture of a city in their architecture, food, design, artwork, history, etc. It is my hope to one day work in the front office of a major league baseball franchise in one of many capacities -- marketing, sales, public relations, management, etc.I also love theatre. I have been fortunate enough to attend fiveshows on broadway -- movin' out, the 25th annual putnam county spelling bee, RENT, Altar Boyz, and Avenue Q. Oh, and half of Wicked because I snuck in at intermission (keep that on the down low.)
Donald Trump (because I would like the challenge of trying to hold an engaging conversation him without being intimidated by him) and Orel Hershiser (see heroes)
The Dave Matthews Band, Ben Folds, Coldplay, The Counting Crows, John Mayer, Athlete, Copeland, Jason Mraz, Switchfoot, Relient K, Shane and Shane, Delirious
Top Gun! The Shawshank Redemption, Rudy, Field of Dreams, Hoosiers, The Truman Show, Anything with Jack Black.
Arrested Development, The OC, House, CSI, SportsCenter
Anything by John Grisham. Searching for God Knows What by Donald Miller.
Mom and Dad for their love, support, example, and inspiration. My brother for being one of the most talented, and yet caring, people I know, and for pursuing his dreams when others may doubt his decision to play football for Oregon State University. And former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Orel Hershiser for (A) pitching a major league record 59 consecutive scoreless innings (B) almost single handedly carrying the Dodgers on his shoulders to the 1988 World Series Victory and (C) always standing up for his beliefs.
