And she is very special 2 me....NOVA NATIONMe goin hardTRENTON RALLIES OVER NOTTINGHAM By RED BIRCH, Staff Writer HAMILTON — When the chips were down, Darren Elam and Justin Williams stepped up for the Trenton High boys basketball team.With leading scorer Lorenzo Freeman sitting out the second game of a suspension resulting from the ejection he received at Camden High last Sunday, the Tornadoes knew they were in for a dogfight at Nottingham High yesterday.Yet when foul trouble and struggles by their starters surfaced, it was Elam and Williams who came in to lead Trenton to its 13th win in 14 games by rallying past the Northstars in the second half for a 62-53 win.“We had to keep our heads up and keep our composure,” Williams said of the 14-11 and 27-23 holes the Tornadoes found themselves in at the end of the first and second quarters, respectively.Advertisement “We had to bring a game effort,” Elam said. “Without Lorenzo, we had to come up big.”The 6-foot-3 junior forward obviously brought his “A” game as he led Trenton with 19 points and 14 rebounds to go with five assists, four blocked shots and three steals.Even though Elam took over the game in the second half, scoring 15 of his points and grabbing 10 of his rebounds, he did not think as highly of his game.“I think I played a bad game,” said Elam, who posted a season-high for points. “I had a lot of turnovers.”The key was that Elam did his work inside, while Williams helped control the ball in the backcourt along with classmate Ronnie Choute.Williams came up big for the Tornadoes from the time he hit three free throws after he was fouled behind the arc with 1.7 seconds left in the first quarter.Those points were big because Nottingham, behind eight first-quarter points by Peter Kelly, had built a 14-8 lead and was gaining momentum until Williams silenced the crowd.Sawo Viah scored seven of his nine points in the second quarter to help the home team retake a four-point advantage at the break, but Williams matched Viah with six of his 14 points in that quarter.After intermission, the Tornadoes turned up their full-court pressure defense to turn the game, with Williams and Choute leading the stand.In fact, 10 seconds after Elam gave Trenton its first lead since the first quarter, Williams came up with a steal and drove in to convert a three-point play with 2:30 left in the third quarter to extend the visitors’ lead to 34-29.“We knew how to break their press, but we weren’t going to the ball,” Nottingham head coach Mike Walsh said.The Tornadoes outscored the Northstars, 15-6, in the third quarter to take control of the game, then matched Nottingham’s firepower in the fourth quarter, outscoring it 24-20 down the stretch.Kelly did his best to keep the Northstars close as he finished with a game-high 25 points after scoring 11 in the fourth quarter.But as seemed to be the story of the game, Elam matched Kelly’s output in the fourth quarter to keep 13-3 Nottingham, which will host the Lawrenceville School at 2:30 p.m. today, from getting closer than seven points (58-51) down the stretch.zay ,rob, zoe goin hardD.Elam#24..He got em ScaredCaptain Zay Lockin in on Defence..My June June Ronnie Drivin Diz Weak nigga 2 da Basketmy lil sis brandeeeMy favorite Player JASON TERRY #31Ma nigga Peezy Holdin Down Trenton High in the paper...Mines Comin SOON.lolBASKETBALLME AT SIXFLAGS AFTER WORK......SHOWIN MY DANCE MOVES 4 THE LADIES ....best day at the six flagsmy bad a%% sis rachel.....love her with all my heart.......thiz my sis rite here 4 life amber love her with all my heart in the world...da homie alycia
